my Class A is 2006, and its never had a roof put on nor have i never had a leak, and there is 3000 watts of solar panels on top. I clean my roof 2 to 3 times a year with dawn soap, and a light power wash. I have also refreshed the seals around all panels, and AC units. The key to good RVing is Maintenance, if your not good with fixing things or able to climb ladders and crawl under your rig its going to cost you.

We have a roof cleaning video we did a year ago when we had our 5th wheel and we had even more solar panels on it. Great video you two! You covered all aspects of this upgrade and this is definitely something we will revisit at getting done now that we have our solar installed. Chris, I noticed the Pepwave antenna you installed. I have one as well from our first RV that I was considering installing similar to how you did it. Which antenna and router are you all using? Are you putting out a video on that install as well? I’m definitely interested in seeing that. We will see you all down at the RV show and maybe we can link up while we are staying down the street from you all at TTO.

I believe Alliance has a pvc roof which is highly flexible for easy installation ,Tear & puncture resistant, Remains flexible throughout its lifetime,Not affected by ponding water,Sun, weather & chemical resistant, Easy to maintain. So why change out a perfectly new roof? If you used little soap and water with a brush and your roof would look like new.

this is amazing video but what I can't understand on solar why don't they make a aluminum capping that clips onto the front of the solar panels. and runs the full length and holds all the cables off the ground so you don't get crap building up on the roof or you can use the same supports you use on a hanging roof but upside down
