I seriously can't wrap my head around how big the kids are! I've been around since year 1. (Holy Hannah where has the time gone?!) I can't tell you how much of a blessing you and your family has been to me over the years. Glad to see videos from you. :)

LOVE THIS!!!! True, open-ended, play is SO important! Not only for kids, but for adults too!! It’s how children learn how to navigate the world. And can be extremely therapeutic for adults. Play on, people!!!

It's so nice to see your growth over the years! I've watched the Shaytards since Emmi was a baby (even before she was on an album cover!) and I can tell Colette has done a TON of inner work on herself, which is super hard but totally worth it! And now she's sharing it with her audience and I couldn't be prouder of someone I've never even met in person.

I’m fortunate to be a nanny of 3 little girls. When I was a girl, Barbies was an outlet to be everything I wanted be and I share this with the girls. We play Barbies nearly every day. We also play super heroes and have dance parties! It has improved my feeling of well being so much . We forget this when we grow up but we really need to keep that fun spirit and playfulness alive. Especially now in these stressful times. Thank you Colette for this reminder and sharing with us. You’re a gem!

sincerely, thank you colette. the ending made me smile for the first time this whole week! ive been doubting myself and my goals and philosophy for the past few months, simply because ive lost sight of who i am at my core. the only way to find your way back to your core is to channel your inner child, which i believe we all have. what an incredibly timed reminder, thank you :)

When I was a child my favorite color was pink now its black and its honestly the color I love because it is how i feel. My dad used to make me laugh and he passed away. My dog was my emotional support and i lost her. And for a while i came back to happiness and today i lost it again due to hate but I know I will get it back.

I loved dogs soo much when I was a kid I still love them but when I was a kid I was obsessed with them. I also loved playing hide and go seek tag with my friends, playing outside in the mud and building forts with big sticks. 😁❤️

Needed this! It’s crazy how as we grow up the ego in our brain develops and we find ourself losing that freedom, that “child”. You’re absolutely right it’s still there inside of us, this ego just gets in the way. I recommend the Ted Talk “a stroke of insight”. Essentially one side of the brain has the ego; it’s that part we develop based on the world around us. That chatter feeding us logic and anxiety. Then there’s the other side; the free, imaginative, boundless side. She puts it better in her talk than I could but she essentially experiences that ego part of her brain completely shutting off and experiences that freedom side of her brain. Of course we can all experience what you talk about if we remember and try. Now I need to go find some LEGO’s :)

Hide and go seek was big in my house. I still have my childhood stuffed animals. I have a lion named Lionel I got from my aunt when I was born in 87, and have a elephant, her name is Ellie I got 24 years ago this Christmas.
