I'm 65 this year and still gaming. I guess I was a teenager at the birth of gaming and have grown up through the decades watching it evolve from two white bats on a screen and a dot going backwards and forwards, to this incredible game. Lol...I remember us all getting excited about space invaders back in 1979 when I was at college. Lately I've played so many good games but Elden Ring just tops the lot. The vastness of it, the incredible detail in the landscape, the smooth mechanics, the flexibility with your character and the quest lines, not to mention the wonderful realised bosses. It has everything, it blew me away. It is indeed a massive flag in the ground for others to follow. Can't wait for the DLC. Good luck with the channel Camilla.

This game is bigger than what most people assumed. I've been running all around. The size is not just in the horizontal space. It's up, and down, all around. Without Torrent it would be a hellish walk in the Lands Between.

@@Cambonano Having Dark Souls style mobs in it makes it seem even bigger. A person might spend 10, or 20 minutes on a random mob in the open overworld. Yet hardly any of it seems wasted. It's uncanny. I got stuck on a boss myself. So I went exploring, and got lost a quite a few times.

tip for Torrent: add the Spectral Steed Whistle to your pouch (1:10:56) instead of your quick items for easier access to it. Instead of clogging up your quick items and needing to toggle through them you can just hold Triangle and press the appropriate d-pad button to use it.

The torch that the first vendor sells (43:58) is an incredibly underrated item and definitely worth the 200 runes. It's a Bloodborne/Dark Souls 3 style torch which means it's a weapon that you can equip and it has infinite duration. It's also a really strong source of elemental damage in the early game since the other weapons you'll find are mostly physical damage.

@@SoloKazama I use the lantern too but there are actually several torches in Elden Ring with special effects. I'm not talking about different torch/fire attacks either, I mean there are actually torches that generate big changes in enemy behavior by simply having them out.

I played so much, and this game is so good(and so insanely weird.... Even after playing Bloodborne I find myself thinking "wtf?" So often).

Awesome, I was just watching your bloodborne. I don't want to watch something I plan to play and I gamer on PC so Bloodborne was out. I'm just finishing Elden Ring, just got to Melania. My heart goes out for your puppy. I have 4 dogs, 2 irish Wolfhounds and 2 pitbulls...I live with them only and I work from home as a software engineer so they keep me company. They are my life. I love watching these playthroughs. Especially the part 1s. Seeing people aww stricken and bewildered with "What do I do and where do i go!?" Most games this would be annoying. Not in Elden Ring through. You can go whatever and do whatever you want and in all cases. You will find something that will be fun and entertaining with rewards when completed.

Haha, Cam this game is tough! I'm finding it harder than every other From game at the moment. I think it's because it totally let's you choose where to go, and what to engage with. If you immediately feel underpowered, quit and come-back to it later.
