Sega is amazing for having Sonic the Hedgehog. I always loved the Sonic games. A huge fan of Sonic. The Dreamcast had Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, which were awesome games to me. Although I love Sonic, I do think PlayStation is superior. The first PlayStation was great and it only got better as newer PlayStations were developed. Nintendo is great too and had some nice games. As for Nintendo, I grew up with the GameCube, Wii and the DS/DSi

The OG Xbox was amazing! -Most powerful 6th gen system (better graphics and faster framerate compared to PS2 or GameCube). -Internal hard drive (no need for memory cards). -Great exclusives like Halo, PGR, Fable, etc. -Online gaming with Xbox Live (fastest online gaming service at the time). Xbox1, ps4, PC and Nintendo are not all perfect. There consoles no matter what has at least 1 flaw and in my opinion video games weren't made for money or competition it's made to have fun and enjoy it. Every1 has a opinion of there game/console choice so be happy with what u have a keep calm and game on.

They forgot one thing though, the Xbox was a HUGE technological leap, it was better than any computer you could buy. Although the PS2, Dreamcast and GameCube were good consoles, the Xbox was the most powerful thing an average household could buy.

A gadget can be very powerful but if it has SHITTY games and it can "do" less than the PS2 then Microsoft will really have more losses. The Major problems with the Xbox throughout its lifetime that Microsoft fixed with the 360, is that most of the amazing games were hidden gems, while the PS2 had their games in the open for everyone. I could easily walk into a store in 2003 and say "Look at these PS2 games! They're fucking everywhere!" while the Xbox had a small corner in the DVD section. This mostly had to with the fact that the PS2 was selling like hotcakes and they were cheap as shit to buy. Also, not all games used the power of the Xbox for graphics, Oblivion used it for HUGE worlds and advanced saves that would easily gobble up 2-3 MB of space. Every other console had memory cards, which put devs like Bethesda willing to make massive games at a disadvantage on consoles like the PS2. All consoles have their share of problems, and I don't exactly vouch for any one console exclusively, I just thought in my personal opinion that the Xbox had the fewest drawbacks. For others though, the Xbox's drawbacks were too big to face and preferred consoles that suited them better. In fact, I actually prefer the Wii U over the Xbox One and PS4 in this generation. I bought one just to play Mario, which I would set aside all drawbacks for. Except if every time I turned it on sang the Rick Roll song for 10 hours. I would throw that shit out the window.

RevengeOfTheUnicorns Uhmmmmm ok. And sure, Xbox 360 got it all "right" because it had a one year start. Sony made a WRONG move initially by making the PS3 more expensive and late launched in the market. BUT in the end PS3 won, because it has better exclusives than the Xbox 360, xbox 360 has what? a few exclusives and mostly it's just shooters like Gears of War and Halo. Xbox 360 is WEAK, it holds DVD's making the games have LESS "input of information" compared to PS3. Remember MGS4? it had massive GB totall of 50gb I guess, that's why the xbox 360 can't handle that. Now, the original xbox was powerful?sure but I don't believe that at all, if it was then "powerful" the devs doesn't optimize their games properly, and last time I checked the PS2 could play Dvd movies, while the original xbox can't. Power? yeah right, that's why PS2 was selling like hotcakes because of its power and its games. Xbox was just a piece of SHIT. However, there are indeed some or a LITTLE improvements for the xbox 360 but it just got a "head start" that's why some people think it's better. NOW, as much as I am a nintendo fan, I wouldn't get a Wii U right now because they only have little awesome titles, I would wait for a Zelda before getting one. Sure the mario games are fun don't get me wrong but I want something more than just mario. So yeah, And btw, PS4 is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than Xbox One, and don't say I'm a fanboy. After what microsoft did to its gamers or should I say "almost did" to us gamers with the DRM bullshit and not "owning" your games, I was turned off. So yeah. If you love xbox good for you, but you can't deny that Playstation is indeed better! more great exclusives, best hardware, more POWERFUL hardware and has the best games out there! not just some shooter games like the shitbox.

The original Xbox could actually play DVDs! i actually have a remote for it! And while I can agree to some extent that the Ps3 had better exclusives, thats not everything. the PS3 was INCREDIBLY expensive at launch. It cost $600 while the Xbox 360 cost about $300. While this got a turn around with the new consoles, with the One being more expensive, it at least wasn't twice as much as the PS4. Also, the exclusives for the Xbox 360 were already into their third installments by the time the PS3 exclusives had come out. This worked for a couple of devs like Naughty Dog who made the game of a generation, The Last Of Us. I want to add that this 'competition' makes both consoles if not all consoles of this gen and next better, just don't be a dick about it. Both consoles have their market and frankly you aren't interested in the One, I respect that, but there are others who don't share your opinion. I like the Kinect 2.0, the possibilities with that thing are endless! Just imagine a horror game where when your heartbeat drops, it scares the shit out of you! It seems like fun to me, but I can see that being creepy. I also got a PS4 the other day, and I'm not seeing a problem with it other than the thumbsticks for the controllers. They're a little shit. Overall I'd say this gen is relatively even, and I'm happy with all the consoles (Especially my Wii U, I dont care if anyone thinks it's shit, it's my fucking baby), I recommend for the sake of the industry that you but all the consoles, but it's your choice which ones you want. The One and the U are great up against the Ps4 and I think you'll be relatively happy with all of them.

A good competition is always healthy because both parties would do their "best" in giving us the things we/customers need. And I would rather play Wii U than the shitbox one. I love mario, zelda, DK, etc. and kinect 2.0? Possibilities are endless? it can't even do/follow commands FLUIDLY. Kinect is a piece of garbage. If you like it then GOOD FOR YOU. As for me, I'm more focused on PURE GAMING unlike the Xbox One who's focus is cut into half. I bought a gaming PC and a PS4 FOR GAMES. NOt for some TV TELEVISION TV TELEVISION that my cable box could already do. PS4 will always be number one unless xbox creates a fucking great exclusive. By far, PS3 has the better exclusives compared to the xbox shit 360. There's a reason WHY the PS2 is the most sold console even today. So yeah. Xbox is here just to make Sony not be lazy in their asses. I would want Xbox to exist so that Sony won't become complacent and lazy. Competition means MORE QUALITY. Monopolism isn't welcome here.

Damn there are dozens of errors in this clip. "The second Dreamcast"? Same with the subtitling. A few interesting facts scattered about though. They don't really mention that the Gamecube was such a commercial failure that it nearly drove Nintendo down Sega-lane as a software only developer. It was the runaway success of the subsequent Wii that redeemed their presence in the cut-throat console hardware market. Now that the Wii U is bombing pretty hard, one has to wonder if the original Wii's success just has them living on borrowed time.

Nintendo switch is the fastest selling console ever, beating ps2 which has the most sales over it's lifetime. Switch will take number 1 no doubt. Nintendo DS and gameboy are already number 2 and 3 for most units sold. Game of the year, developer of the year, best family game, best action adventure, best handheld game, and best strategy game all went to Nintendo for 2017. 6/10 of the best selling games of all time are Nintendo exclusives, none are sony or Microsoft. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're dying. They're still leading the industry, the numbers don't lie.
