I liked in the description how you said research would say you're dangerous if you extended your duty day. Something would make me feel uneasy knowing that my pilot was operating on such a low amount of sleep. Seems like a hard decision in the moment, but one that passengers should be grateful for after the fact.

Can be very difficult in the moment when passengers and other crew will not be going to their destination or even worse…. Last flight of the trip and you have an important event the next morning.

Hey why was the GIG layover scheduled to be less than 24 hours I didn’t know that was even legal for such a long flight

I think the FAA minimum is 12. So it's perfectly legal

It’s called a rocket. Minimum time away. Is the same plane in and out. Very efficient for the pilots. FAA minimum is 8 hours of sleep opportunity normally covered with a 10 hour overnight

You say you get paid block or better. Do you get the pay of the full block time of the trip because it WASN’T your fault of the time out issue?

Depends. Line holder yes made whole but can be reassigned other flights. Reserve. Credited for what I’ve done or reserve daily credit whichever is greater. No reassignment.
