This 2008 Triumph Speed Triple was completely re-worked with the only remaining stock parts being the motor and front forks. Hand made frame, bodywork, carbon wheels, custom shocks and swingarm. Absolutely beautiful, IMO the original 1050 Speed Triple is one of the nicest Triumphs ever but this has blown it away, the only thing I don't understand is why twin shocks instead of mono shock?.

Thanks so much, appreciate it. The customer wanted a standard style street tracker and the dual shocks helped in that look. These custom YSS units are fully adjustable for hi/lo speed compression, rebound and pre-load so no loss in performance whatsoever. Cheers!

Wow that is possibly the best triumph triple I have seen. New subscriber& love your work. I have question for you, I'm about to start on my street triple build & second time watching this vid I noticed the Motogadget dash, how did you get around the oem dash being coupled to the ecu ie dash not plugged in bike wont run. Any advise would greatly appreciated.

Hi Jim, we had a hell of a time with the wiring for this very reason. Even spoke with the president of Motogadget - the short answer is you need to keep the stock gauges on these newer models. What I did was take apart the gauge so I just had the motherboard in hand and it's hidden in the tail section now. Motogadget used to make a breakout box for the Triumphs but due to poor sales they discontinued it, my thought is they should revisit that position since more and more customs are being built on this platform. When prepping a bike for a photo shoot, wrap tires with plastic wrap..Unwrap them once it’s in position; keeps the tires clean 👍 great fucking bike tho

Unfortunately we didn’t weigh it, but the wheels alone shave 20lbs and the swingarm and frame are also lighter than original so that gives some idea. Cheers!

This was my first time attempting to film an entire build. As you can see by some of the still images I didn't manage to get everything on video but I am currently working on a new bike and will be turning it into a series rather than a timelapse which will show everything I do along the way. Why didn't you guys keep It a single sided swing arm ? and whats up with those head lights , I know looks are subjective but IMHO I think you made an already great looking bike Into Frankenstein monster .

And that was the point, dare to be different but keep all the performance!! There are those who like stock, and those that prefer custom. For the proper tracker look a single sided swingarm doesn't cut it - keeping with the triples dual headlight styling we opted for smaller units that work with the numberplate. All geometry on this bike is set to the same as the stock Speed Triple, headstock angle, rake, trail, wheelbase - same. Essentially the same bike but way lighter. Wheelie monster 😀

@@californiapoontappa These are top-line YSS units custom made for my build and feature hi and low speed compression dampening, rebound adjustment and preload and were sprung to the owners weight. Impossible to not get the perfect ride. Love 'em.

@@origin8or sounds rad I was only asking because I own a 2022 and the bike is damn near perfect how it is set up so I was curious as to if there were improvements to the finished product. How much does the bike weigh now and how much weight was shed?

@@californiapoontappa that 2022 must be a weapon for sure, this is a 2008 but still healthy. Biggest change came in ride position with low tank and wide bars - tracker style. Not sure of final weight but I'd say we've easily lost 100lbs on this build from a stock bike.
