good to hear that you constructed this shed in 5 days, here in India people will take 10 days to complete and they dont have proper tools also. for e.g cutting the side sheets to the shape people here in india will use corded angle grinder with cutting wheel

Hi, thanks for sharing the build. It's been a few years now. If you're still using the shed, is there anything you would change or have ordered differently? Cheers.
@YellowDieselGolf5 жыл бұрын
Hi Merv, If I could magically make some changes, I'd make it a little larger and I'd insulate the walls. It does stay fairly cool in summer, but you can never have too much insulation. These are only minor issues though and overall I'm very happy with how it turned out. Thanks for asking!
@M3rVsT4H5 жыл бұрын
@@YellowDieselGolf Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it's served you well. I'm saving for the biggest shed I can get. You've got me thinking about the insulation now :) I reckon I'll find out how much to have them do the roof when it goes up, but I'll see if I can save a bit by doing the walls myself.

Of all the shed building vids I’ve just watched today. No one is wearing fall protection.
@noelwhittle7922 Жыл бұрын
for a shed that height you would probably hit the ground before the tension took up on the fall arrestor. It's the risk they take.

How do you manage the camera battery during this timelapse ? Is it possible to put DC power directly to the camera to mitigate a flat battery. I take it the camera runs for the most part of the day when work is being carried out. At least 10hrs a day or so ??
@YellowDieselGolf Жыл бұрын
From memory, I connected to an intervalometer and set it to 30 seconds. I disabled the screen and charged the battery each night. Unfortunately I set the mirror to lockup mode one day. I thought that it would cause less wear, noise and extend battery life. I was wrong on the battery part and the camera went flat so I missed where they levelled the slab. I was setting it up in the morning and it was still going after work so yeah 9 or 10 hours. Yes, the 60d has dc input but I don’t have a power pack. Other tips: Manual focus so it doesn’t waste battery - screen off - don’t use mirror lockup mode 😝
@tonymontana897 Жыл бұрын
@@YellowDieselGolf That's awesome mate. I don't know why I didn't think to try this ages ago. I did a quick google search after messaging you and discovered how simple it is to set up. Simple, maybe to others who have more camera time, but for me I'm kind of a novice who has some pretty decent gear. So I thought, why not try it. I forgot to ask, what SD card size did you use ? I think my DSLR supports up to 256GB. I suspect that's more than plenty right ? I haven't started my shed construction as yet, so the opportunity to make a timelapse appeals to me. Something to keep for the future when we look back on things I guess. I have gone to hell and back with Council among other things just to get to the point of getting the DA approved, not to mention dealing with my shed company and now I'm trying to find contractors who won't gouge me into the 9th dimension. This is a very strange era we live in now. Wish me luck. I might even post my timelapse video up on here,, God willing. Thanks for replying. Regards Tony

Hi my friend, what is the thickness of the slab and how you choose it? is there any formula to calculate it? from those 12K AUD, How much went for the slab and how much for the metal building? Thanks!

Hi Puliwil. The shed company did the installation, including the slab. The kit was around $12k AUD + a little over $5k for the construction and slab.
