Cool idea... but not a good idea. The A380 is too big to access many airports, so it wouldn’t be versatile enough for Orbis. Plus, the DC-10 is far sexier.

I was thinking the same thing since I worked at McDonnel Douglas when they were building the MD-11 which is a stretch DC-10 with winglets and more advance avionics. They were also developing the C-17 when I was there. Apparently the MD-10 was created as described by Kay_213 after the MD-11 in '96 which was after I left. I used to walk past the paint hangar from the parking lot to my building and saw a lot of Fed-Ex and Korean airline paint jobs being done.
