I am curious to know why there are two King Edward ("the Martyr " and "the Confessor") before King Edward I. Why they are not "numbered"?

Sajeepan Nagrajah you have missed out Lady Jane Grey who ruled England 🇬🇧 for nine days after Edward VI until she was removed from the throne by Mary I and executed. I hope you don't mind me pointing that out.
