Excellent documentary. Been studying the history of bingo. It seems that humans beings keep longing for community. Church lost it’s popularity, working men’s clubs are nearly gone - along with most of manufacturing and, of course, mining. The smaller local pubs (remember the meat raffle?) have gone bust and largely disappeared. They weren’t all bad and helped us keep an eye out for each other, the elderly or those that lived alone. If a regular didn’t turn up for a few days, one of us would go n check they’d taken their milk in and that they were OK or maybe needed help. Ah well, that was the past and we did things differently there. Thanks for the upload 😊❤

Bingo is not a game. It’s waiting for someone else to make you win.

Everyone in this doc needs dental work desperately 😂!
@hrtdinasaurette3020 Жыл бұрын
Nothing’s changed much on that front. Britain still can’t still seem to attract enough dentists. There’s, at present a 4-5 year waiting list to get an NHS dentist. Surprising really cos we’ve got boat loads of architects, heart surgeons, engineers and lawyers turning up daily. I dunno.😊

@@hrtdinasaurette3020 Its ironic really since according to the OCED the UK has the 4th greatest dental hygiene on average in the world (Believe it or not that superceeds both the USA and France

Coconut with condensed milk that taste like sawdust....I remember that candy from my childhood. It's really good, a delicacy in my country. To bad they don't know how to properly make them.

@@Stiffd1 What? Malaysia? We are among the lowest infection and death rate in the world from covid-19. Even foreigners during the early days of the quarantine refused to leave and prefer to stay in quarantine here as we are considered safest in the world. People are back to work under strict safety discipline and schools are open too.

I was thinking that too! I think we have these sweets in the Caribbean. My gma brings something that sounds similar when she comes back. It’s white and pink shredded coconut pieces and so sweet you can feel your teeth rot while you’re still chewing 😂 it’s so good though lol
