An enigma within the Waxing Moon Ritual, the warrior clad in dark armour has been at their Master Yui Shousetsu's side as the very first opponent Miyamoto Iori and Saber faced, and never truly been far from the escalating conflict. Rogue Saber calls them "Ogre" but who is Rider really? As Shousetsu puts her plans into motion, our heroes must surpass this intimidating foe in order to prevent it.

The problem here is ushi gozen here is that they are taking every loophole they can, while also being fucking bonkers. Mental Pollution is a very real thing that is even a skill for Servants. It represents insane mindsets that do not necessarily qualify the owner for the Beserker class, although it does show up there in some Servants IIRC. Basically, the higher level the skill, the more the owner of the skill is protected from mental interference skills the owner is, with cost being that same skill level leaves them progressively more divorced from normal human thought, behavior, and communication the owner of the skill is. The most (in)famous owner of this skill, and the first to demonstrate it, is one Gilles de Rais, who can be summoned as a Saber, representing his time serving under Jeanne de Arc, and doesn’t have that skill… but if he cracks open that book he got from Prelati, he will transition into the other class you can summon him as, his Caster form, representing the serial killer Bluebeard, who owns Mental Pollution AT AN A RANK. This fucker is absolutely bonkers, got along SWIMMINGLY with the SERIAL KILLER that was his master in the Fourth Grail War aka Fate/Zero (where the Beserker steals a jet fighter to dog fight Gilgamesh and Saber’s master is an international terrorist that shocks all the mages by fighting like an international terrorist!), and is basically a cultist to an Eldritch God of some kind. Side note, Prelati in Fate is some body jumping horror that is running around as a loli in the modern era for shits and giggles.

Also, note that the armor was effectively a limiter for Ushi Gozen. Without it, she's unrestrained crazy.

I think the description you give for Gozu Tennō (that of a bull-spider creature) is actually of ushi oni. Though apparently ushi oni are sometimes said to be incarnations of Gozu Tennō, so not far off. That's how Gozu Tennō gets tied into Ushi Gozen, and by extension Raikou in Fate. Regarding Gozu Tennō's identification with Indra in Fate, it's murky. As far as I can tell, Gion Shrine's tradition does (or did... I'm not sure how religious reforms hit that) say that Gozu Tennō was originally an Indian god before coming to Japan, but I couldn't find anything about this god, Gavagrīva, that wasn't from Japanese sources (I'm not saying that there's definitely nothing, but I failed to find anything). Fate instead makes Indra the former Indian identity of Gozu Tennō. I have a suspicion that it's simply because the name of Raikou's squad, Four Heavenly Kings, is a reference to Four Heavenly Kings in Buddhism, who serve Śakra, who is derived from Indra. Also, placing the fight with Ushi Gozen in Senso-ji is a solid reference, because there's a story that in 1251 (which would be 400 years before this game's events) an ox-headed demon appeared in Senso-ji, causing death and illness.

1:00:23 well yeah everyone is as powerful as narrative wants them to be and the narrative itself says that she's on the weaker side in comparrison to everyone else with master's (second only maybe to Caster).Thing is she remain's till the end cuz her pair with Chiemon is important and despite not always the strong servant winning the contest i will say this is the first Fate series where the strongest one are removed first cuz they are the problem for everyone and the weaker one remains because they were teaming up with each other.Well that's a battle royale for you.

A really interesting plot twist. Even more intrigued than before to see how the story will continue. Even the upcoming climatic confrontation cannot be the end as there are still two more Masters. Maybe it's just me but Ushi Gozen seems to be very Darth Vader. Ebonclad samurai fighting with a sword, known for Obi -...the history books she killed someone, but in reality she is that someone. All that was missing was for her to tell Yui that together they would rule the new world as Servant and Master. Although in her mind she is fulfilling Yui's dream, so in a way there is a little of that too.

12:58 - bajiquan is also a style of Chinese martial arts that several other characters were trained in... like a certain untrustworthy priest, and a master he trained that was in the original Fate/Stay Night.

Saber with the beam, in modern days I could see running or working for a power wash company. Not a very successful one as they probably would get bored and use too much force.
