up today is a review of the TIMEX IRONMAN CLASSIC 30 TW5M18700 9J, these have been around for ages and really do work well as a low maintenance sports watch!!

I recently picked up the Timex reference TW5M44900, I don't see it extensively like other models. It blows the G-Shocks I have out of the water. The fit, finish, size and the way Indiglo is implemented is sublime.

Brilliant my favourite watch - I think Timex Ironman digital range is so much better and affordable compared to Casio Gshock chunky watches 💛

yup the ironmen do offer something different and I'll give that to timex, but I do prefer them chunky monkey gshocks LOL

I'm on my 6th ironman Classic. I replace them when the text on the watch's face fade/wear out. The old bracelet use to crack and peel and break, but the new bracelets last as long as the watch.

Timex all the way. I know Casio has great watches and I own several. I only choose Timex because when I was in my early twenties they came out and they are just nostalgic to me. Great video, thanks

Fair watch in all aspects, if you're not a Casio fan only, but that keeper of the strap is a big bonus for me, so is the lume. Nothing bad then, even 100m of WR are ok. Always wanted to try a Timex IronMan, maybe now is my chance but here you can't find many models (Casio is stealing the show, pity...). Thanks for the review mate, be well. Cheers! PS Tip for anyone traveling to Greece/Spain/Portugal/Italy... and the whole Mediterranean! When you drive to an isolated beach and you find a nice shade of a tree waiting for you, NEVER leave your car under that, you just help the goats reach the leaves and your car will be... simply destroyed! I've seen a lot of people crying and cursing...

I very nearly bought one a year ago for a triathlon. I went for a Garmin, but with the price difference I don’t think you go wrong with the Iron Man!

@@DrS-of2ul I didn’t break a sweat whilst it was on, had a sausage sandwich and a cup of coffee too during it. A broken toe a week before the event made it a lot easier to not participate guilt free.

And the functions? Can you set a timer in seconds? (Example, 30 seconds). Can you turn off the sound when you are going through the features?

I always had both brands but now that i need reading glasses ironman is what I use. i can see the time with out glasses.

Some people complain about the screen, in their review. Is it really so diffucult to read that negative display?

Hey Faith thanks and as neg displays go this one isn't too bad and the indiglo helps a lot but for quick glance at your watch then the positve displays are way better, another alternative are gshocks with the MIPS display - superb!! 😎👍
