Fun fact. Having the knife as your secondary and meleeing with a gun out will use your knife even when pap'd. And to top that off, sometimes you can do a rapid 2 to 4 hit combo. I haven't figured out how to do it consistently though.

Knife only run was really fun to my surprise too. When you fully upgrade it, it's gets up to crazy lvls of damage, like 38k. It isn't that difficult to use on high rounds either, just keep backpedaling and doing quick swipes until they're all dead. Even PaP varients work too, but ONLY enemies you don't one-shot which will most likely be only the armored zombies

There's actually a trick to cutting the zombies without needing to do the stab motion, if you click before they're in stabbing range while moving in you can actually kill them with the cutting motion making it a lot easier to not get hit and to follow up on the next zombie. it takes a bit to get used to it but it works wonders.

I hope they add Galvis later on. Been revisiting BO2 and even though they’re only a one hit till round 14 they still remain incredibly useful when you’re low on ammo. But considering weapons are usually buffed when booted into a newer game, and the fact that you can pack-a-punch melee weapons would make Galvis a one hit till like round 50. Like a pack-a-punched golden spork.

I'll explain why I open left instead of right! Simply, it's because it makes accessing weapon upgrades and the PaP more convenient. I go left, the weapon station is right there, and I can just hop the railing and boom, right at PaP. Wheras going right, I have to hop two rails (one at the start) and up the side of the consoles to get to PaP (which is also more of a deathtrap room than medical I find). It's a small line of reasoning, but one I stick to nonetheless.

If you have a knife as your backup weapon every melee you do with the gun in your hand becomes a knife. So essentially you can one tap zombies even if you don’t have a knife in your hand. Also Deadshot is actually usable with a knife.

if you don't turn the power on, there are no doggo rounds and megathot spawns round 15. my play is to knife till the end of round 14, turn the power on, round 15 is doggo round, round 16 is megathot round. also, I save up to double pack my knife and use scrap to upgrade the rarity, which upgrades damage. if done correctly you can 2-3 shot the megathot with the knife without ROF.

The knife is both underrated and overused at the same time. The spawn-tier combat knife can last up to like round 10 or so without upgrading tiers or PAPing. A legendary, triple-PAP'd knife with an ammo mod is one shot (or stab, if you prefer) up to about round 65 if I remember correctly. The one and only issue is that you, quite obviously, need to be within spitting distance to use it. And I don't mean massive wad of phlegm with all the lung power you can muster spitting distance, I'm talking like crop-dusting the class silently spitting distance.

A helpful tip late game you can train easily with a stutter step by tapping backwards (I have staminup increased backpeddle speed for this) while meleeing as you step back to remove the lunge. This prevents you from trading hits. I suggest running c4 as lethal, throw at your feet and detonate if you get surrounded to knockback snd run, I like monkeys to refil my armour and gear.
