you have to set distributor timing afterwards correct?

@uzileopard6199 Ive never had to? As long as everything is set to tdc, theres shouldnt be any issues.

@ dang, we set TDC, even did 2 manual revolutions before putting everything back together and upon start up mine was great and then about a minute later bogging down heavily and almost dying before jumping back to life. so im guessing a tooth off. is there any quick way to adjust or have to go back through this big journey?

How many hours is just the timing belt job on this car? I’ve got a customer who had a new belt and water pump put on but it jumped time. Trying to figure out how to charge the job.

Maybe 4-6 hours depending on your experience and if youre doing the full job or just resetting the timing belt.

Wow, I didnt know the water pump can be tuned and the seal replaced like that. I had a shop replacing the radiator & R12 conversion, but then the water pump started leaking, so am considering it. How much would a water pump & timing bell replacement job cost then?

That would depend on where you're located, where go to have the work done and the parts used. I personally dont discuss my shop labor on KZbin. I am told by many I'm one of the cheapest legitimate shops in Colorado.

Thank you for your feedback. Im still pretty new to making videos and have taken all of that into consideration with my newer videos. When I started my youtube, it was more geared to show clients my work, then it became more of "quick guides" for those that know what theyre doing but needed just a little guidance. My newer videos are made more towards "how to" videos but I still do not claim to make "how to" videos. Theyre still guides. Im a small one man shop so I dont have someone recording for me or the extra time durring jobs to get into full out how to videos. Maybe someday if my channel ever grows big, I could afford to get better equipment and hire someone to video the hard shots that I have to use a tripod for, thatd be nice for sure, I could definitely do better with some help. As it is, Im already doing 3 or 4 peoples jobs at once every day lol.

The bolt or nut that holds the tensioner is rounded off any idea on how to remove it? And I do need to remove it right to take off those two tensioners with the spring
