This is a comon leak,but it always better to add an extra sealing motor joint just to keep the original sealing in place,ive donne it before and after some time,the leak commes back

I presume this isn’t done in real time because a mechanic just quoted me $1200 to replace and reseal the timing cover on my mini Cooper clubman 2010 saying it would be seven hours of labor, does that seem right?
