As a Bucs fan, I'm not sure why I decided to watch this. I guess I wanted to see if there was some lip reading on the Bucs sideline but instead I got to see Todd Bowles make his perpetual "someone farted and I'm really disappointed/confused face" so that, if anything, captured what it's like to watch the Bucs on a weekly basis under his tenure.
@phillippropst382513 күн бұрын
Thanks for the laugh about HC’s face. Summed it up nicely.

Reminds me of post sb win under gruden perpetual disappointment but hey Baker makes it fun to be a professional football player again 🤦. Poor Tom had to deal with this bovine excrement attitude trying to win championships while most the roster just collecting checks
@aHighHighShelf13 күн бұрын
@@RJ-fe9pu Yeah those years were brutal. I think we're definitely in a better position now. Licht is a tremendous GM and has handled the post-Brady era well - maintaining a contender while juggling cap constraints. If we can bring back Godwin (and he's close to 100%, hard to say) and draft basically all defense, we'll be in great shape to contend next year. That all said, I think there's a limit to how far Bowles can take this team and, unfortunately, it looks like we saw that again this year.
@RJ-fe9pu13 күн бұрын
@aHighHighShelf licht is average at best imo (which doesn't matter at all) bowles was gifted a job that he didn't earn with players he didn't manage and failure was inevitable. He was good at coaching Defense and hasn't proven winning the big games is in his capabilities. It seems like I hate the team but I grew up in the era of only 1 king of the mountain and I'm going to get there or die trying and "making football fun again is a losing mentality" as we just witnessed
@aHighHighShelf13 күн бұрын
@@RJ-fe9pu We can agree to disagree on Licht. I think he's done a great job - won a championship and has a solid track record in the draft, albeit with a few misses but what GM doesn't? Regardless, the team did talk about being built for a championship or with that in mind so I'm glad we've gotten to a point where the expectations have risen. Just 6 years ago you or I would've killed to just make it to the playoffs and now we're expecting to not only get there but make a deep run. That alone tells me we're better off now than when Licht showed up and hopefully we can make some moves in the draft and FA (especially while Baker is only making 30 mil a year) to really do some damage next year.

As a Commanders fan, this season has easily taken about 10 years off of my life and the 4th quarter of this game probably took another 4 or 5 years, but this is the first time in my lifetime I've seen this team with an legitimate fighting chance in the playoffs and I think halving my lifespan is worth it. Lions vs Commanders should be a great game, both teams are built different. Even if Washington's season ends in Detroit, this has been a hell of a "rebuild year" and if anyone is gonna beat them, I'd gladly pick the Lions since they've waited for a team like theirs a LOT longer than we have.

According to Cooper Kupp on the Rich Eisen show after the Rams won their last Super Bowl, the first two times Stafford and Kupp tried to run the jet sweep play that they used to convert 4th and 1, they botched it with fumbles. They had no time to run the play correctly at full speed. But Kupp and Stafford talked among themselves to come up with the key word that both would use to time up the handoff properly, and they told Sean McVay to keep the play in the playbook for the game. And then Sean McVay called that play with the Super Bowl on the line, no takebacks, and it worked perfectly.
