Hi Tim - I have enough experience browsing youtube videos in the “scalable income” niche to tell you that you come across as genuine, humble & smart - all the qualities your audience appreciates and gets inspiration from. I don’t usually comment on videos, but you display that level of integrity that just sparked me to add my words of praise to the long list you have already received!

As a 50 year old creative, who has wanted to go after my passion/dreams for years, but has had every reason, whether justified or an excuse to put it, and myself on the back burner, I can tell you, that your authenticity, and kind personality, has truly inspired me to not give up. I love your transparency. I trust what you bring to the table, and I can't express enough, the impact it's having on my mindset. I can see why you're successful, and it doesn't come across as bragging. I view it as education, with the benefit of someone incredibly easy to listen to. I look forward to your content. Thank you so much!

I just want to say thank you to you for inspiring me to start my Etsy shop seven months ago. It has provided me with extra income monthly that I otherwise would’ve had. I always derive so much value from watching your videos and wish you well in life and in all of your future endeavours.

What did you start with in terms of product?
@JohnThePA Жыл бұрын
After I bought a sticker myself, I was inspired to start an Etsy sticker shop. I then noticed some people copying my custom, hand-drawn designs with poor quasi-photoshopped works. I've made 100 sales in 2 months, which I find a success since I just started... but the competition is fierce. I think starting a Shopify store and directing repeat customers there is a good move because, ultimately, you control the sales platform, and your competitors aren't trying to compete with you there.

Thanks Tim!! Great video. I just recently closed down my business a week ago that I've been running for 8 years, 5 years as a food truck and 3 years as a brick and mortar. This is the first time I literally have back up plan, scary to most but I'm truly excited about the possibilities w/ my new knowledge and experience. I knew I had to shut down to move on to the next thing in my life and so I made that decision with no regret. Before shutting down, I made it a point to create a side hustle / passive income that I would just have fun with. So I found you through searching videos on how to improve my etsy store. This video spoke to me! Your calm demeanor on explaining your journey is very inspiring. It was a true reminder that anything is possible as long as you put effort into it. Something that most people don't realize is that perseverance is key. Great job and I appreciate you telling your story!

Just some opinion thoughts I pondered while watching. TurtleTags sounds primed up to test out the “can I automate/hire out the entire project and turn it into a passive income stream” kind of experiment. Also, no need to let it die. A years old consistently profitable business that’s an established brand is sellable as a turn key business solution for those that rather start with something that’s already in motion.

I love how Tim makes more talking about making stickers than actually making them. 🤣 In all seriousness, though, this is actually one of the most valid revenue streams for decades. This is why you see people making more money advising people how to buy and sell real estate than actually doing it themselves. Sales of e-books, master classes, etc. Lesson: learn how to do something well, then teach people how to do it too.

Tim, thank you so much! I am honed in and focused on your videos. You have given me so much inspiration and hope for financial security. You videos are filled with tons of value...and also I just like your personality, positive approach and ease. I am looking to start a new path yet I have felt stuck for years. I feel like you have really shaken the paradigm on my way of thinking and how to go about this...growing up in a very traditional career oriented way...yet I feel like the physical demand on such careers always leads me back to the same problem....an achy body by the end of the day and not much financial payoff (I was considering being a baker). As a mother, I also feel a new since of hope for my family. And now I have all these light bulbs going off like...whoa maybe I don't have to do this 'job' finding alone by myself...maybe my husband and I can put our heads together and actually tackle another income...together. I love the idea of being innovative and creative too... I don't know what is in my future, but I will keep watching and learning. Also it's funny to think this is coming back around in life. I wanted to have an etsy shop 20 years ago...and perhaps I just might now...

I really appreciate you sharing as much as you did in this video! it didn't feel braggy at all. I can honestly relate to your story alot. I had got a 3d printer for xmas last yr and the first thing I did was design a new product for my hobby. I had shared my creation to my reddit hobby group and it went viral. I had made it originally with no intentions of selling it, but everyone was dming asking where could they buy it. your channel was one of the first etsy content channels I came across and your sticker story and content inspired me to list my product on etsy. I directed all the request to buy to my etsy and my store blew up! From Feb 2022-today I have grossed 20k just on etsy with only 3 - 3d printers. I am now also on fb marketplace shipping, ebay, and working on my shopify store. This video has really made me realize I need to start producing content again for my hobby channel. Thanks for being open and honest about your business, it really does help.

There are always room for more room in any space of business. Even a fractional of the pie is very lucrative. Unless the niche is unique and original, then keep it hush hush until patent is protected. For most things in life, they are just copied and improved from previous ideas. I genuinely appreciate your candidness and willingness to share. It is disappointing that other shops would simply take your shop model AND product and basically replicate it, rather than develop their own unique spin. That aside, you are an inspiration to others to not give up too soon and to continue experimenting to find what works and what doesn't, to lead to success. Congratulations to you! And, good for you on establishing that balance that allows you to thrive in that arena, but still be able to spend time with your precious family. 👍🏼

Hey Tim - you're so Canadian :) I say that because I think it's in our nature to care about what we contribute to our community and to our world. The existential 'crisis' we all face when confronting our purpose in life forces us to reflect on what's truly important. As much as people have stolen your ideas, please don't stop making videos and sharing your successes and otherwise. I'm a really good artist and I've been wanting to start something for years, but I can't seem to get those first few steps completed so it's so frustrating. My sales are down this month but I didn’t spend much time on my Etsy. It’s up this year because I was spending more time on it. But right now I’m just investing everything back. It seems like the supply category you need to have a lot more listings than other categories. My parents Etsy was way down this year. They have a seasonal Christmas item.
