I still say the best combo is living with a Filipiina in Thailand. They make the best mates, and Thailand wins hands down for just about everything else from a foreigners perspective like the few things you mentioned. You can't find a hotel that nice in a major PI city for $40. It would easily be 80-100.

What a coincidence. We stopped at this Thai South food restaurant yesterday and had a fantastic meal of Bucking deer and raw shrimp salad. That restaurant had only been open for 10 days. I love south food, so friggin spicy.

OMG, I love this particular video! I used to own a 1969 Camaro, 395 engine, 4 speed (stick shift) during my years at University of San Diego. I took it to Tijuana and had it "souped up" to 405 hp with automatic fuel injection and had everything under the hood chromed (1974 - 1982). Use to Street Race in El Cajon at night, and yes it was illegal, but we did it back in the day. Thank you for sharing! Safe travel and see you in the next video!

When I lived on Maui, my friend on Kauai invited me over. The first day he lent me his convertable MG to cruise the island with. So fun! Then that night I used his small bread truck type van with power and even a mixer in it. I stayed at a beach park all night, mix d margaritas and had a blast with people camping on the beach.

Nice E30 Chad. I've had 3 but none with the M series 4.0 liter V8...whew!!, I'll bet your stomach has to play catch up on accelleration. Good choice of hotels Tim. An engineer friend of mine either goes to Angeles City or Pattaya about 3 times a year. He tells the family that he's going "diving" and from the pics I've seen,, diving is an understatement, LOL!!

Wowww i met this guy in Augest this year Ao Nang Krabi whilst i was getting my scooter washed and he was waiting for this scooter to get washed. Then a power transmitter across the street blew and we thought a bom went off. He was such a nice guy had no idea he was a youtuber as well. I will answer that question. It is only Americans that do the tipping thing it does happen in the Philippines but is not essential. I am Australian and it does not happen here only if you want to but it is not expected and neither it should be anywhere in the world. Pay the workers a decent wage and there is no need for tipping.

watch both channels but didnt know you two were friends. wife, i andgf loved pattaya. we married thierafter 8 years in pattaya and brougt 4 year old daughter. they asked why youhere? she told immigration im here to marry daddy, lol. THE BASE is where we stayed. same or better costs, better food, walk to beach or mall. malls were expensive. many hotels include awesome buffet breakfasts, all you want, juice and brewed coffee. condo no but three streets to left a mall with huge a/c food court, bowling and theaters. to right modern mall and near straight out, 6 blocks to beach.21st floor gave ocean and city view. VERY superior rentals and sales half ph prices. EVEN $50,000 condos on or block to sand. wife doest like being assumed thai,lol so cant live there, and little english their. it is far more modern cities.

I saw the canister of protein powder there. Maybe you've heard this already but if you want to gain control of your acne, pack on muscle, and feel better than you ever have I highly recommend you do a 60 or 90 day carnivore diet. Only say because I've been watching u for a long time. I have done it and it worked wonders on me... currently I'm doing a modified carnivore (added a small ammount kf vegetables and spices)

Yeah Tim, I haven’t been to Southeast Asia yet I have to retire first and get my pension going. I’m going to sell most of my stuff . Then takeoff. But I think I’ve made up my mind where I’m going to be, but the only problem is you have to jump through so many paperwork hoops in Thailand versus a veteran in the Philippines I think Thailand is going to be the place but that doesn’t mean I have to stay there permanently. I can always try out the Philippines later, but this video has kind of solidified my decision. I’m planning on finding a homebase in a condo somewhere near Pattaya. That will give me the opportunity to explore other places in Southeast Asia for a week or two at a time. Because of the nearby airport. Thanks for this video is a great example of what the roads are like and what the housing looks like in that little roadside restaurant café everything looks so perfect !!! Thank you Hey, I just had a thought to add in. Why couldn’t you carry a regular handkerchief you could buy 10 handkerchief and run them through the laundry or just hand, wash them and hang them up fold one up and put it in your pack inside of a plastic bag. Every time you venture out, you have a handkerchief instead of using or wanting paper products. I handkerchiefs quite often I think that would be the cure to the lack of paper products. I found that to be a problem in Cuba also. I always carried a bunch of TP portioned out into a plastic bag and then put that in my day pack. Along with a handkerchief.

Tim great video but during the scene with your friend showing off his Lamborghini colored motorcycle the loud speaker in the background was horrendous. Almost hard to hear you both.
