Best Buffet in LA! | Feasting on Lobster, King Crab, Prime Rib at Universal Studios @ Universal City

(Sept 1, 2019 update: There has been multiple comments posted over the last weekend that the selection of this buffet has been reduced; with no more king crab and only smaller (half) lobsters offered. This did not reflect my experience there (on Aug 11, 2019). Please note that I am not sponsored in anyway and absolutely do not take any free meals from the places I visit.)
Sometimes, either by chance or by luck, one happens to stumble upon an amazing meal when they least expect it; this was one of those times. While traveling and visiting Universal Studios and Universal City with some friends on our trip to Los Angeles, I did some exploring on my own. Feeling a bit peckish with all the walking, I searched for restaurants around me and followed a link that promised a lobster, seafood, and prime rib buffet. That promise of an amazing seafood meal was fulfilled in spades!
The $69 buffet at Cafe Sierra was an amazing experience with massive king crab offerings, lobsters done to perfection, and many great cuts of meats and international offerings. This was the best buffet I've found in Los Angeles!
Great atmosphere and welcoming servers and hosts, this clearly was one of the most enjoyable meals I've had. If you're in the area, or are visiting/touring the LA area, Universal City, or Universal Studios, this is definitely my highly recommended place to have a memory (and large) meal.

This is untrue Restaurant. I went this Cafe this Evening Sunday September 01, 2019. There is no Lobster, no King Crab legs...only snow Crab legs, dry & small 1/2 Lobster.

​@Brian I recall that we all had a big breakfast/brunch in the morning - I believe it was buffet style also. My friends decided to rest up a bit and wasn't up for an early dinner or more food. I kinda treat these places as more of an attraction to visit (along with the food of course) and quite ful to capture this on video. (we met up for a late dinner afterward)

Oh my,Tim! By far the best buffet at such a reasonable price,$69! The seafood was amazing.That special touch of the lobster being cracked for you. I would have had a hard time deciding (for my carb treat) those dumplings or shrimp tacos. And let’s not forget the beautiful Sushi/sashimi and Prime Rib. I was so impressed with your Keto selection of fatty Prime Rib and 🦞. Then you hit the dessert bar and it’s all downhill from there, especially the donut ice cream. Spent a week at this hotel last christmas whilst staying in LA and ate at this buffet in the evening on christmas day the whole atmosphere and ambience was so lovely very busy but that was to expected. The seafood was absolutely delicious. Especially the lobster thermador. It appears that there are now more lobster options judging by your video. Definitely worth a visit, but do get there early when it's not as busy and things are pristine. also make sure you check to see what they're offering, as a few people commented that the buffet offering changes. Also confirm with a restaurant that that they did change the menu since. All the best to you :-)

I use to go every month with my coworkers, over 15 yrs ago. It use to be 49$ and only allowed 1 lobster per person. It was not all you can eat back then. They sure have upgraded the variety of food, but down sized the food area. There use to be a whole room full of food. There were 4 or 5 aisles of food. Asian, American, Fruit and Salad, Dessert and pasta. Also the carving station. Lobster was at the main entrance with the sushi.. And a huge table with a chocolate fountain. Also a freezer section with all you can eat Nestle chocolate bars or frozen fruit bars.. yummm! Thank you for a great video.

You should go to the morongo buffet Thursday and Friday and the San Manuel buffet Wednesday and Thursday both of them casino they both are good also all you can eat lobsters and 🦀 legs half the price and really really good.
