"to pretend that depression doesn't inform picture I paint every word I write." Felt this on every level.

"Have you ever thought about what you're supposed to do with your depression while walking?" Yes I have. This video was a remarkable visual aid for this poem and the twist that the poem took equating hands to depression was wild. I didn't see it coming but I appreciated it so much.

This is honestly the first poem in a while that I have felt I truly relate to. Some days I try to explain to people that I couldn't get the strength to leave my bed, they don't understand me when I say that my mind isn't allowing me not my body. My friends will say that they understand what I'm feeling but I feel so much more than I'll ever tell them. I don't tell them because I know even if I explain it they won't fully get it.
