@@SoWellDunn just remember that 90% of the world is afraid of their own shadow. I grew up in a terrible neighborhood in Detroit where people are being shot and killed everyday and overdosing on the front lawn. And I will tell you that everybody would say not to go to that neighborhood, everybody would say that's a dangerous neighborhood. It's just like Chicago, everybody I talk to is afraid to go to the outskirts of Chicago especially at night, Tampa, Miami. But yet I've been to all those areas. All the areas that people say are dangerous, don't go there. I've been to all of them. Obviously most importantly you have to have wits about yourself. So just because somebody is afraid to go to a neighborhood doesn't mean it's a bad neighborhood. I mean I know so many people in the United States who are afraid to go to Cancun Mexico because they think they're going to get kidnapped and robbed. Come on. The system in the USA is truly unjust. My undocumented friend got stopped by a cop for walking outside late at night. Next thing he’s being sent to prison and then gets deported. So yeah, his story seems very real.
@justingarret4776 Жыл бұрын
from what you described you had a friend who illegally entered a country, drew suspicion to themselves late at night, suspicion that was obviously deserved if they were doing something illegal enough that resulted in them being sent to prison after which they were deported for the illegal entry and criminal behavior. That doesn't sound really sound all that unjust
@shdws182 Жыл бұрын
@@justingarret4776 His parents brought him to the USA since he was a baby. In racist GOP controlled Texas, cops can literally stop you for anything if you are black or Mexican “looking” whether you act suspicious or not. This was big controversy a few years ago (during the time he got apprehended). Walking to your home late at night from a friend’s house is nothing suspicious. He had no weapons, was not disturbing anyone. He was literally just walking home late at night on concrete sidewalk. Hell I used to do it back then all of the time too. You know there is nothing wrong with this but your hate for undocumented people makes you say it’s “sUsPicIous”. For fucks sake US Citizens do this all of the time too so don’t come at me all kinds of stupid. Fact is, the system in the USA truly is unjust. Hell even against US citizens. Although I used very little Spanish that I learned in grade school when I was in the Midwest, I picked back up after 2 yr back in Fl. But ur Spanish is still better than mine! Good job. I love the Greeks and Greek language! I spent a month in 1995 wandering all over Greece. I’d learned the alphabet and phonetics before I went so that I could catch buses and read signs/ etc. in 1995! Much less was in English then AND it was the best time, we could still walk in the acropolis! Delfi! All the places with ancient temples and ruins. Not the same today, I’m so glad I spent that time, years ago in your country! I might hop over to Greece for a few days in March when I go to travel with my 21 yr old. We are gonna “wander” in Italy! When locals tell you to be careful and that it’s dangerous they don’t mean that the second you get there you’re gonna have 48 holes in your body. You are watched. Day and night by many. Especially when the local gang members that usually control those areas have people you don’t think otherwise to be informers. And when you feel most safe, you wake up tied up or don’t wake up at all. Just always be careful. You guys are all too young to lose your lives over an ego trip.

I just saw your video, and I'm sorry that you believed that guy. 1) The only prison in Raleigh is a maximum security prison; 2) You don't get 15 years for not knowing how to respond to a medial emergency or for responding to it irrationally; 3) in my early working life I was employed in the Diagnostic Center at that prison and the people housed there are some of the state's worst. His story was bogus. If he was in prison because of his daughter's death, then he killed her. Sounds like he might have chocked her to death. I have noticed in many videos where people look annoyed w/ him and / or are uncomfortable when he touches them like they're already best buds I'm sure he has great intentions, but going around to residents saying "i heard this place is so dangerous but look it's great" (after tons of locals told him how dangerous it is), is a little insensitive and invalidates their experience of growing up there. Videos like this can come across a bit like emotional tourism...
