Strangest thing is that the attacker doesn't notice this, since the four power of the Dandan is the reason that an attack is possible (or at least good).

Def cool of them to play game three! Aggro def didnt get good draws in the first two to strut its feathers, and even w the misplayed air elem, fish deck still won.

19:30 until 20:10, isn't this against the rules? Wouldn't going to attack phase empty the mana from mana drain, thus making it only possible to Braingeyser for 1? Leaving mana open during attack is a big advantage, and the Braingeyser had to be cast before the attack to draw five?

Yes, you are absolutely right. He should've used the geyser before combat.

Solid answer for sure. Although I’m always jealous at green’s crumble and of course the Bolt in red, they seem like the most efficient solutions. Not to mention white, they bath in answers 😅

My guess is they confused the toughness of the Air Elemental with that of Mahamoti Djinn/Serendib Djinn which would not have died. It makes sense as more creatures in their deck are 5/6 then 4/4

You can def play budget in this format. I have made a mono blue deck myself that did great at several tournaments. I would start with looking at the re-print sets, Revised, Chronicles and 4th Edition. So many fun decks to make!

Spellblast is subpar and the better Power Sink also doesn't work if you're playing a blue curve deck. On the other hand, the deck with lots of land and ramp can play the Power Sink very well.

The problem with power sink are my opponent’s moxen 😩 on the other hand forcing the opponent to tap out on his turn also has its value

@@zethrenbeltran4071 No. Almost no one played Spellblast. In actual 1994, often times Power Sink was better than Counterspell or Mana Drain.

@@zethrenbeltran4071 That thought crossed my mind many times but I dismissed it each time. This only works if you go first, which is 50% of the time. And you have to have a blue source, and it only works the best turn 1. Power Sink is better because it works more often and forces a player to tap out their lands.
