I wonder. Train traveling direction is on right side of tracks while cars are on left side of lane. Different from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore where cars and trains run same side on the left. What is the purpose of design?

I can tell the Japanese design language and composition of the system just by the train consist. Looks like a J-TREC or a Hitachi set.
