Claire Knight there are already people trying to claim upwards of 36 genders exist. In human anatomy, biology, and physiology there are only 2 -except in the extremely rare case of hermaphrodites, when the 2 come together.

The struggle between left and right always has been about truth. Trickle down never was true. The necessity to abandon constitutional liberties never was real. Terrorism as a serious threat never was real. The list goes on. There is not a thing the facists on the right utter that is not factually wrong, and has been for at least half a generation.

GaGrin Can you show me evidence that supports the fact that there are more than two genders? Because the only people I have seen talking about it are the radical feminists on tumbler who often denounced facts, and spout falsehoods. To me it feels like the people who don't identify as male or female are trying to one up transgendered people, and make themselves seem more special than everyone else.

Man, the people who can´t even understan a joke. I was trolling the Trumpist, dude, need i spell it out? Trump is taking multi-million bribes, thats not exactly cheap, right? And what he will cost the US in damages ... you can´t even repay yourself after you execute him and the rest of the traitors, even with all the bribes he has more debts than money. Though i have to give it to him, turning a failing buisness and a mediocre reality tv-show into a presidency is quite the trick. He might be stupid, but at least he realized most americans are too, and he has power over them by his fake image alone.
@ericbartol

Shishui U I agree. It is well beyond time to start appreciating the seriousness of what we are involved with. This president, Trump, will lie his ass off (father of lies?) to get what he wants. He has no shame about his lies at all, either! Now that he's president, it's "fake news." During the primaries and elections, it was a labeling campaign that struck chords with the baser elements of our upbringing; the schoolyard bully tool. Now, as president, he has turned toward dictatorial ploys. He is trying to discredit and intimidate the media. He is looking to shower the military with dollars the likes of which have never been seen outside wartime. He is seeking ways of putting more lower income Americans in deeper situations of want.

My father was keen on history and politics, with good cause. He served in Patton's Army, and celebrated VE day in Germany. I wasn't around when he came home from war, I'm a "Boomer."It was my father who sat with me and watched Soviet Premier Khrushchev beat a shoe on the table at the UN General Assembly in 1960, and appear to threaten to "bury" western democracy behind the podium. I asked my father if Khrushchev meant war, and the answer he gave me rings true today: "No, they'll find a way to bury us much simpler than that, like Hitler did to the German people."

Psychic Shell the suggestion that 9/11 was Reichstag Fire is essentially to say that it was an attack orchestrated by powerful interests from within in order to use the emotional, confusing bedlam that followed to gain political influence

In a way i want to say any conflicting situation can be seen wrong or can be reacted to incorrectly. This man may do that, but people on average? Can't think beyond the extent of ones attention span has been exposed.

I'd like to point out that contemporary political comentators of Hitlers's election didn't atually see him as the danger that he was. They assumed the new administration wouldn't be much different than the previous ones. They also thought Hitler would be tamed by his political partners, he would tone down the radical and devisive rethoric and all in all act more....well....presidential. In end most people didn't realise what was going on, until it was far too late.

Whatever Bill Maher's style may be, it is working for me. The contrast between Bill's jesting and mr. Snyder's earnestness made me heed mr. Snyder's warnings and advice even more seriously.

I truly wish Bill would shut up and let these guests speak instead of constantly interrupting. Both Louise and Timothy had very interesting points of view. Bill, this is not all about You!!

Wow. Never heard it so eloquently put before and clearly paralleled to fascism in the 20s. Remember his last statement... "When that moment (of terror) comes, despite your fear and grief, during your fear and grief, you have to mobilise and protest for your own rights." Turn the tide and be smart America.

What's amazing is that people still need to be warned against this trick. You know, they played this trick 16 years ago. Possibly just opportunistically, possibly with some culpability (ignoring warnings deliberately or out of criminal incompetency), but they used the the situation to their advantage and played the trick. "Luckily" they "only" started two long wars, destabilized a region, fanned the flames of global terrorism, accelerated the Iranian and North Korean nuclear weapons programs, devastated a country, took huge leaps backwadrs in terms of human rights and killed a million people because of it. Now, it could be actually be much worse and not just because of where the starting point is.

One of the beliefs of the founding fathers of America was that it is an inherent right of all humanity to oppose and fight tyranny and injustice. Good ethic.
