these are two totally different scooters ( i have both), one is a dual motor scooter with power and the other single motor with a tiny battery (still quick but tiny) different applications. I use the GT for quick trips into town and the Climber for longer rides.

I had the NIU kqi3 Max, and I hated it. THIS is the better scooter IMO. It has a larger 15ah battery (kqi3 Max is 13ah), has the dual 450 watt, 750 watt peak motors (kqi3 Max is 450 watt, 900 peak), and is about the same price, BUT performs much better (it KILLED the HILL OF DEATH!!!). Overall, a wonderful scooter for us bigger bros (240lbs here). Thanks for the excellent review Tim. Doug

Bigger bros should Always buy Dual Motor scooters... They get you up the hills much easier, (and quicker) than single motor scooters... Luckily for me, I'm only about 130lbs

Would you recommend for a commuter, and how portable is it when folded? Good for stowing on a bus/train? Also, is the weight 54 lb or 45 lbs? I saw this on the amazon store listed as 45 Thanks for the great review, cheers. 👍
@TimsElectric
@TimsElectric Жыл бұрын
Awesome @FoxhoundJay to hear from you...I think it's about 54lbs...I think it would make a terrific commuter plus it's got the extra power and range to get you home. The only thing is that the roads and paths should be pretty flat as it's doesn't have suspension. If you think you might prefer suspension then look at my reviews of the Apollo City :)

Does the app allow you to create speed limits? These are technically illegal in my country, but law enforcement only checks the speed. So if you can limit it to the legal speed without being able to adjust it on the scooter (ie change speed without the app) you can get way with it.

Hi Tim, I’m going to get Inmotion S1. Is there anything better than Inmotion S1? I’m looking for an e scooter with long distance/range (45km and up), long-time battery, high speed like at least 30-45km/h, never-flat tyres, to commute to work. I live in Gold Coast. Thanks!

Awesome question @jeanclaudevanslamme, you can check here: www.iec.ch/ip-ratings but basically it's got dust protection and protection from splashing water. You could take a few mins and add your own protection ...like some sealant on cracks etc for the wetter seasons but don't hit the puddles :)

@DeathCab4Cutie s1 is another scooter from inmotion. it's not dual motor, it's strength is its range ~60 miles. it's got good speed, 25mph. but it's noticeably heavier. but that's because it has dual suspension and a bigger battery.

@timselectric I know u reviewed the inmotion s1. Im deciding between the inmotion S1F or this Inmotion climber due to its lighter weight. In your opinion which is better? I weight roughly 220-230lbs.
@TimsElectric
@TimsElectric 3 ай бұрын

@@TimsElectric currently it’s about 900€ with shipping. Maybe the dualtron popular with 52/25AH Dual would be a better choice that’s only about 500 bucks more. What do you think? - the Apollo is not buyable here in Austria I think. The problem are the regulations, it should not be good for us „heavier“ people, because regulations want a limit at 600 watts. So maybe i need a run if they stop me, or they will even catch my drivers license… and feeled 20 more different law breaks with heavy fines. (Understatement would be nice) Thx for helping me :)

@@TimsElectric got it and it's good, it climbs and i drove about 25 kms with one charge @ 25kph. Wish it would have an extra regen brake and rear disk for emergency stops only. But it has a software error (D = 42 kph, S = 25 kph limited. Acceleration in D is super slow), really missing a suspension. Software fix + maybe a front suspension and it would be grade A commuter.
