How to SAVE MONEY on Premium Bibles 💰

I completely understand now why people like premium Bible. Recently, I went to a Christian store and looked through the Bibles. The cheap ones felt and looked extremely cheap. I did not like the ghosting of the pages and how the covers felt like they wouldn't last a year with normal use. So, I will never judge people for buying expensive premium Bibles. (I am a new Christian and just started learning about Bibles.)

I miss going into bookstores! I found a really unique and quirky used bookstore in a nearby city (but not hometown) last year and now I dream about heading there every weekend. That's my kind of zone. :)

There used to be five Christian bookstores in my area well stocked with bibles but now none of these bookstores exist any longer. I have to either shop on the web or travel some distance to find a Christian bookstore. Sad indeed.

I just got a couple of those BEAUTIFULLLLL ESV journaling spiral bibles for $19 each on Amazon and normal price was $35 each. I went ahead and snagged them!

Really good info Tim! I would say that knowing what you want and buying when the deal is affordable is really important. Impulse and last minute buying has gotten me into bad deals….learning to wait is so important! Blessings

The slightly imperfect page of evangelical Bible and at Christian Book are great places to score a deal on a Bible that usually only has very minor cosmetic imperfections, like a scratch on the guilding for example. Just make sure to read the description well, there are no returns on them

Tim, I started watching this video, and went to CBD to see Premiere Bibles. I found a NKJV Thomas Nelson I liked. I decided to forward the website reference to my daughter. A minute previous, without her knowing what I was doing, she had sent me a short clip you had put on KZbin of Anakin Skywalker saying what I was thinking, “I know I shouldn’t, but I want something more.” 😂

Most premium Bibles I've owned were purchased gently used for about 1/2 their original price by someone who thought they'd found "the one" but decided it wasn't.

Twice now I've purchased Bibles that are the same printing as an expensive one but bound in an inexpensive cover. So far both Bibles have held up nicely, and both read wonderfully. And yes, if you have an Ollie's nearby, check out their selection. You may be surprised to find something nice!

I bought a KJV Cambridge for $100 back in 1976. My surprise-I wanted an EVS in 2010, and there were no quality bibles at the local Christian store. All the Bibles were under $100. I was looking for leather, leather lining, and India paper. I still have my Cambridge, it’s still going strong.

I also know that evangelical bible will sometimes resell imperfect bibles. I was interested in knowing more about it; for instance they will write that the Bible has been mis-embossed but do not have any images displayed. I would love to see an example of that in a video or image that can give the buyer more confidence in the purchasing process.

Crossway has a premium Buffalo leather Bible I recommend/ buy for others that my wife got for her and I which are really really nice and regularly on sale for 40-50 bucks

Hi Tim, since you and Becca play and record Christian music, I was wondering if you have heard of the Canadian Christian singer, songwriter Steve Bell, who is out of Winnipeg. Also, the British poet and Anglican Priest, Malcolm Gite, who Steve sometimes collaborates with. I have found comfort from their work in these troubled times.

Hi Tim, love your bible reviews! I wanted to ask to see if you knew how Schulyer works when it comes to stock and pre-orders? Reason being is I really want a CSB PSQ but they only have them available in two colors and both are zippered. Should I just reach out to them and ask if they plan on ordering more in an unzipped version and possibly other colors? Yep, they usually post pre-orders a month or so before new stock arrives. Shoot them an email and they’ll let you know when CSB PSQs are coming back.

it’s only been maybe a little over a month since i found out about premium bibles and became so in love with the ESV heirloom heritage edition text block. however, after watching your videos, i saw that at some point evangelical bibles collaborated with new color ways for that text block and i’ve been wanting the green one so bad. i was so sad to see that they sold those probably months before i knew about them. i’m not the biggest fan of the wellington leather so that’s why i haven’t bit the bullet to purchase hoping that maybe i could find someone who doesn’t want their schuyler/crossway collab bible or evangelical bibles comes out selling more.
