Tired of getting one-upped at every seacuterie party by all the hot girls and fish bois? Next time, wait 'til everyone's shown their cans, then drop this on the room. Doesn't winning feel great?

true, but you gotta keep in mind each fish only has one "cheek" to give meat from, so its incredibly inefficient selling that cut normally.

Honestly though that is the kind of place you'd want to get something like that. Someone salt of the earth growing up knew how to make things like that during hard times. Gizzards are a fave. Look up sucker mouth fry Missouri they take these small carp like fish and almost spiral cut them open like a fishy curly fry

When I see these kinds of KZbinrs (good at talking about a niche topic), I always wonder if they knew before starting a KZbin that they have a certain charm to them. Because I feel like most people that are weirdly charming like Matthew don’t even realize that they are, and I feel like he really does just want to spread his love of canned fish.

im a new subscriber this week. love your channel its nice to learn about lots of cans i havent yet tried and it has reminded me to buy sardines again. i was also obsessed with canned fish for years. still am but nowadays i generally just stick to a few types of basic tuna for regular weekly needs. the fanciest canned fish i ever ate was bluefin tuna from italy from a brand called Tre Torri. i bought a can of their bluefin fillets and a can of their bluefin ventresca (belly). both so incredibly delicious but just a one time thing for me as I dont like the idea of fishing for bluefin tuna. fairway in red hook brooklyn used to have a great selection of canned fish. thanks again for sharing

How are beef cheeks? Are they any good? I would think they’d be tough since cows do all that cud chewing. I’m sure I could source them pretty easily since I’m right next to a Mexican market. I might have to make some beef cheek tacos.
