I worked band venues during the 80s and 90s and got to listen to virtually every act in Australia through that era. Tina's soundcheck still rests on my soul like a forbidden gem, it wasn't for public consumption it was magic pouring out of that tiny woman still brings a lump to my throat after all these years

You should listen to some of her hits in French. She spent a lot of time in France and has had just as much if not more success with her French songs. Not English songs sung in French but purely French songs. She’s an amazing woman.

Tina started on an Australian TV show 'Young Talent Time" aged 8, way back in 1976. In April 2013, she was voted Australia's all-time greatest female singer. btw the compere of Young Talent Time was a guy called Johnny Young who was involved with some big hits in the 1960s in Australia. He wrote "The Real Thing" and "The Girl That I Love" both sung by Rusell Morris. Both songs should definitely be reviewed here. :-)

This lady is a true performer. If you can, I recommend you watch her performane at the firefight concert. She totally owned the stage AND she brilliantly covered a Chrissy Amphlett song. That's not an easy thing for any performer to pull off in front of an Aussie crowd. Her voice is a national treasure.

Never heard of her, but she reminds me of Faith Hill (Tim Mcgraw's wife) vocally. Faith's list of hits are too many to list, she retired to raise their 3 daughters. Tim flew back home after every night during his concerts. He sings "Humble & Kind" Faith's 1st hit was American Girl. And, if you love duets, no one does them better than Faith and Tim, "To Make You Fell My Love". It's literally like they forget that they are singing in front of 80 thousand people.
