She’s actually 54, so 53 in this performance. She is ridiculous. She is so beloved. She was the equivalent of a Mouseketeer, starting on a kids variety show at the age of 7.

Just before Covid hit we had the worst bush fires ever called black summer. So much loss, they held this concert as a fundraiser for the fire relief. FYI three American fire fighters that came to help us died. Tina still has it.

Remember just before Covid 19 hit? Australia was ravaged by the worst bushfires in history. This was a concert put on to help raise money to help those affected. Many artists appeared. Queen even re-enacted their Live Aid concert performance. KD Lang flew out just to perform for this concert. So worth checking out for other performances The last song is Tina paying respect to Australia’s Late Queen of Rock Chrissy Amphlett from the group Devynals

They weren't 'bushfires' . It was a preplanned firestorm. Planes with lasers, were used. The areas were sprayed with chemicals (chemtrails) prior. Then COVID, ALSO preplanned. Evil WILL be DEFEATED!!!

Second comment.. Fun fact.. I believe Beyonce was trained to sing on a treadmill.. It shows!! 💕 Tina has been singing and dancing since she was 9 years old.. It shows!!💕 Both amazingly talented. As a musician its hard to see artists and bands compared or shutdown in comments.. It's rare to see an artist / band that you can't appreciate something for. You might not ‘like’ the music but look at the performance, the lyrics, the arrangement or even just the musicality. Love your channel for always doing this xx 💕

Came here for your reactions and Tina’s anthems and stayed for The Divinyls (Chrissy Amphlett RIP), The Boys In Town 💕 This just had me rocking out at 3.30am in my kitchen 😂🤪 Chrissy Amphlett 100% my rock goddess, she definitely had a huge impact on the Australian music scene and was pioneering in performance and music and even female empowerment. One of their songs was even banned on mainstream radio in Australia (I touch myself). My parents wouldn't let me get the album haha. Kudos to Tina for this! 💕 Love your channel.. I might have to consider patreon to help broaden your Aussie music horizons.. There is so much non-mainstream and new music that you would love xx look up Kitchen Witch if you have space in your playlist.. Amaaaaazing, original and local Adelaide band. 💕

Tina takes me back to my teenage years as her songs always inspired. She lived in France for many years and was adored by the French for her singing in French. The level of respect for her by the French other than the awards they gave her has to be in 2011 when the Australian cyclist Cadel Evans won the Tour de France when they jumped at her request to sing the Australian National Anthem on the Champs Eleysee (forgive my spelling) and her rendition of it sent chills up my spine.

Tina started out in the mid-1970s on a family musical variety show called YOUNG TALENT TIME that was hugely popular in the 1970s. She was 7 years old and such a little pocket rocket that she earned the nickname Tiny Tina Arena. Her final performance on the show (the age ceiling for child cast members was 16) was truly amazing. She finished off singing “Memories” and burst into tears as she finished and the other cast members gathered around her weeping because she was so loved. The show’s host Johnny Young asked her if she was up to singing one last song to take the show to the closing credits and she blew the roof off with “MacArthur Park”. We all knew she was going to be a star and she was. The Divinyls are a much celebrated 70s/80s blues/punk rock band in Australia. Their biggest hit was “I Touch Myself” which did very well in the US.

I understand what you were saying about the crowd but this concert was to raise money for the bushfires we had 2 years ago and all the Aussie greats performed. Tina had been out of the country for years and not released music here for some time. Half the audience either didn’t know who she was or she’s not a genre they’re into. But love Tina, I could listen to her all day

Never heard of Tina Arena until now, I'm from the USA & did my research, found out that her only hit in USA was Chains at #38 in the charts. But impress with her voice & for an artist that came out in the 80's, She looks great in this video clip. Will take time to listen to her music & did get to hear another song on Spotify that i like from her with a duet with Marc Anthony. Will like to see other reaction from artists that came out in the 80's like Tina Arena, perhaps from Cyndi Lauper & Pat Benater.

Tina scored a Top 5 On Billboards Dance/Club with the single. Never. It was huge in the states and all over the world. Tina Arena and the Roc Project to chart in the US and UK to date, as it became a top 5 hit in the U.S. Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. It was also the second number one single in its spin-off Hot Dance Airplay in the October 4, 2003 issue (at the time when it was unpublished until August 2018). This single marks Tina Arena's second and last time hitting the Hot 100, Behind "Chains (Tina Arena song)" in 1996. ;[1]

I love hearing your take on not only what makes a good singer but a good performer. The difference between the two but your true love of those who have both. I love your real appreciation of the individual and what only they can bring whether they are the very best or giving their very best. Your endeavour to share with how to appreciate exactly what gifts we are being given by singers and performers opens eyes to what is been given to us to rejoice in. Don’t stop doing what you do so well. Music is in your heart and we can feel it. So thank you.

So much to love about Tina. Consummate professional in every way. Aussies are thrilled to have her back here in Australia after she went to live in France for many years { where she is also well known & adored!} Tina has also been a really powerful advocate recently for the music, and performing arts industry overall, here in Australia- particularly regarding the extremely poor (virtually non-existent!) financial supports from the Government, for our struggling artists during COVID.

Tina is 54 so she was 53 on stage at the Fire Fight Australia Concert. This was a 10 hour concert, the entire concert was broadcast live free to air. I watched the whole concert. The fundraiser concert raised $11 million. So many Australian and international artists donated their time to sing including Alice Cooper who was here touring, Adam Lambert and Queen who recreated the 1986 playlist for their live performance at Wembley stadium and KD Lang flew in to Australia just to sing The Valley and Hallelujah and then flew home the next day, it was beautiful. Tina Arena, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy, 5 seconds of Summer, Michael Buble did a live cross from his concert in Mrlbourne, Amy Shark, Hilltop Hoods, Icehouse and many others, and John Farnham and Olivia Newton John closed the night out. Most artists sang at least 3 or 4 songs, a couple sang 2, others sang up to 8. Everyone, approx 24 solo and group/band performances, did a great job. It was a wonderful concert. 75,000 tickets sold out in 24 hours and it was organised in a few days. Organisers saved over a $1 million because Queen left their rigging lights and stage set up for the Fire Fight concert to go ahead. Queen did their last Sydney concert the night before. The stage and rigging was pulled down immediately after Fire Fight concert before heading to set up for Queen’s next tour date. It was a fantastic day. I know you enjoyed Tina’s set with her tribute to Chrissie Amphlett from the Divinyls. Enjoy! Hugs from Australia ❤️❤️🐨❤️❤️

Captain America: I can do this all day. Tina: That's nice Junior. *Pat's on head* She's in her early 50s here, and has been doing this since she was Nine. 😁 Honestly most Australian performers of that era have similar stamina. Probably because due to the environments they came up through.

You should check out the Divynals, Chrissy Amphlet . Tina doesn’t need to have anything else except her voice. A real performer

I just love your passionate analysis of our Tina……she is 55 now (2023)….and goes from strength to strength…her voice is one of a kind & moves people…can’t compare her to our Kylie (totally different performers) & brilliant too.

NICK your one cool dude. I stumbled across you in lockdown in Melbourne Australia. Your appreciation of such a wide variety of music is really cool. We all have our favourite genres but you simply can't ignore talent. I think we need to get you and Jimmy in an interview situation- I love Jimmy to give a few minutes of his time to one of his biggest newest fans. John Farnham and Jimmy are legendary in this country. Keep up the great work it's a pleasure listen to someone enjoy the music I grew up with.

Just as a sidenote... Heaven help my heart was written by Rick Price (I think you reacted to him and Tommy Emmanuel)... Rick did the backup vocals on the album with Tina.. they have worked together a fair bit. Most of our artists do help one another out more than they advertise.. Farnsey is all over Daryl Braithwaites album, Diesel is all over everyones etc hahaha... they are a really tight group even though they are usually in competition with one another chart wise. We back our own as much as we can... I think it comes from being so remote and we're all that we have !

Born in 67. That makes her 53 in 2020. Amazing! Some iconic backup singers there too from John Farnham days

Love Tina Arena, she’s another one I’ve seen live and you’re right, she is a performer. Gen X Australians grew up with Tina, you could tell when she was singing as a child that she was going to have a massive career. The nature of the entertainment industry being what it is, she didn’t have an easy road to that success, she fought tooth and nail for industry respect and recognition. To see her perform the way she does these days, it’s hard to believe, but she’s a fighter and that’s what I admire most about her.
