This is an Ike & Tina Turner performance. Tina was the show but Ike was the bandleader and he produced and arranged the song. This fantastic performance was a collaborative effort. Shout out to the underrated Ikettes!

The truth is, Ike did not want to do Proud Mary. It was Tina’s idea and her thought for the arrangement. Ike didn’t even right A Fool I’m Love according to what Robbie Montgomery said in I Tina and several interviews. Ike took the song from Carol, singer who worked for them and published as his own.
