When you think of what she was going through at the time and yet she could still perform at this level....an outstanding human being. From what I read, she found great peace later on in life.....well deserved🙏🏻💛💚

I mean, god damn, damn, damn. She changed the game. Must have been so incredible to watch live back in the day. It must have been mind blowing watching her be so uninhibited and raw on stage. No one ever came close to her talent back then and still hasn’t to this day. Thank you, universe for giving us Tina!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

John Denver commented during a music awards show when Tina won a music award and was going up to the stage , " "Tina Turner, the lady , who taught us how to dance in high heels on stage I remember Tina on stage doing her rendition of 'Rolling On the River' while Credence Clearwater Revival - the group that made the original recording of that song was sitting in the audience -- when the camera panned on them , they were sitting in their seats , SMILING .. What a LADY ! ❤

This is an Ike & Tina Turner performance. Tina was the show but Ike was the bandleader and he produced and arranged the song. This fantastic performance was a collaborative effort. Shout out to the underrated Ikettes!
@seanjackson6300 Жыл бұрын
The truth is, Ike did not want to do Proud Mary. It was Tina’s idea and her thought for the arrangement. Ike didn’t even right A Fool I’m Love according to what Robbie Montgomery said in I Tina and several interviews. Ike took the song from Carol, singer who worked for them and published as his own.
@true1evanique Жыл бұрын
@@seanjackson6300 Actually, Ike and Tina's version of Proud Mary was inspired by Sonny Charles and the Checkmates. All of these decades, I never heard Sonny Charles version until a few year ago, and was shocked.

It's sad that Ike Turner's lasting legacy is a wife beater. He also was a great talent. Same with George C Scott who apparently hit Eva Gardner so hard it caused her to have a detached retina.
