It's Sting singing with here, this album also had song featuring Neil Tenant and Chris Lowe, and Barry White. On her comeback album she sang Private Dancer wich was written by Mark Knopfler, who also played on 2 other of Tina's songs "Foreign afair" and "Overnight sensation"

Sting didn't write it. It was written by Tony Joe White and one of Tina's guitarists, James Ralston. And it was produced by Trevor Horn.

@aleclewis9123 oh I stand corrected, I was always under the impression Sting wrote it. I wrongly presumed with him being such a prolific song writter. It's a beautiful song and I love that album. I actually saw Tina in 96 on that Wildest Dreams tour. I was 10 years old and can barely remember it but been a massive fan ever since.

@@christhompson7345 Oh yes, Sting is a fantastic writer, no doubt about that. 🙂 Whatever song he lends his voice to, he makes it his, like he did on Long Long Way To Go (w/ Phil Collins), All For Love (w/ Bryan Adams & Rod Stewart) and Another Pyramid (on Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida). I was also 10, when I saw Tina live for the first time at Munich's Olympiahalle. In fact, this was my first ever high profile gig I went to. John Miles took over Sting's vocal for the live performances. She was, and I think still is in spirit, one of the most groundbreaking artists ever.

I was named after Ms. Tina - she was singing with Ike when my mother fell in love with her after hearing her debut album in 1961. I had the privilege of seeing her in concert for my 50th birthday - she was in her early 70s. She wore 3 inch heels, a short short dress, danced, sang and tore that stage UP for several hours! I will never forget it. She is amazing. Thanks for paying your respect to her. RIP Ms. Tina.

Thank you Dereck for this heartfelt reaction. There are not enough superlatives to describe the phenomenal monument that is Tina Turner. I was lucky enough to see her in concert six times over her last three tours. Truly one of the greatest performers of all time, giving every fibre of her being to the performance. Apart from that she was a true role model as a human being. She never let adversities in her life get the better of her. She never allowed herself to look back in bitterness. She never blamed anyone but just forged ahead. There was never nor will there ever be anyone like her. A true soul survivor and an icon. Another poignant song from the same album (Wildest Dreams) I suggest you react to is "Something Beautiful Remains". "Tears will leave no stains Time will ease the pain For every light that fades Something beautiful remains" Thank you, Tina. Your memory will never be extinguished.

I remember this video from the 90s - it was shot here in Cape Town , on top of Table Mountain and Noordhoek beach. The concert was filmed at Newlands cricket ground. The scene where she is walking with the kids was from my old neighborhood when I was one of those kids. My parents moved before this was filmed.

Hello Dereck ! I don't know exactly how Patreon works. I was born longer before this things and I would like to support your channel because I like your reactions to all artists, but I love Tina specially, and you have reacted to many of her hits, not earning too many likes, naturally, she belongs to the past , but to music history. Recently , on 24.05 was one year without her in this world but her music will ever be . And if you would react to, for example, her encore of her very last concert in 2009 " Be tender with me Baby" or "We don't need another Herol" livie in Wembley; ;;2000, or "Goldeneye" live in 1996-97 you will not get too many likes but a generous donation from me.Tina is always better live. That makes her difference with other artists, she may sweat and move in high heels while still manages to sing quite well, like no other ever and still now can do, singing and dancing non stop 2 hours even at 70! I didn't approve of her last tour in 2009 because she was too old, and I could have seen her live then, but I chose not to do it. Even though , I was fortunate enough to have seen her live in 2000. There are and will be better singers than Tina , but performing live the way sh did and make you so happy, perhaps ...too ....yes. but she was the first or them an if you could see her live.....
