Trying on Cheap Wedding Dresses from ASOS - it was not what I expected 😳

Those dresses are actually perfect. They are just big enough you can get it altered to fit perfectly. Almost NO one, who knows better, wears a wedding dress that hasn't been altered.n

Asos has a petite section .. i think all the dresses there would fit you perfectly because the plus size section fits me perfectly

But with the price of these going to your local clothes repairer/ alter would still be less expensive then spending a 1000+ on a dress you wear once.

I feel like it’s definitely a great option! They’re still pretty dresses, they just have to be altered as any other dress that’s supposed to be fitted.

I went to Macy's to get my prom dress and picked up a beautiful white gown for $130, it needed to be shortened at the bottom slightly but it's been 2 years since I graduated high school and I'm saving it until I get married to use as a wedding dress. It might be smart to shop for a white prom dress instead of a wedding dress, the quality is still better than any of these cheap asos dresses, but it's way cheaper than something you would find at a wedding dress shop.

80% of all wedding attire must be altered to fit. When buying any attire read the material such as taffeta, rayon, or a blend. If you are knowledgeable about textiles you will not feel disappointed.

I think these are all great foundation items. When it comes to wedding dresses and event clothes, alterations and accessories can really make a huge difference. I imagine that the first dress would look really nice once it is fitted to the bride, and a sequin belt and maybe having your seamstress add a sequins design on the bottom or to the bodice. Alterations would still be way cheaper than buying a $1500 wedding dress (that you you still have to get altered anyway).

That's what I think too, the first one especially could be altered, add some lace or embellishments, potentially sleeves and it could be really something. Not a bad idea for someone who has a smaller budget!

You could use the blazer and pants for your reception! Easier to dance in and then you get a wardrobe change while Alfred will still get the more traditional dress that he prefers for the ceremony! Or you could use the suit for a reception dinner (but it sounded like you weren’t having one). You rocked the latter two dresses and the pant suit! ❤️

The bridal blazer/suit was truly beautiful! By far my fav and would be fabulous for a rehearsal dinner or an engagement party. Congrats on Dove partnership-the cool essentials roll up has remained the best deodorant I’ve ever used -trying so many over the years I always come back to it now not even bothering to try others And the scent is so light and lovely. Really enjoyed the bridal try on series!

When you go to dress fittings, almost all the dresses look like the first... loose and awkward, but there are assistants to clip you up at the back and bring the tail up. Also, almost every dress has to be altered to your body.

A sequin or crystal embellished belt would look beautiful with the second dress. If the third dress had the correct bust size, it would be gorgeous. I was pleasantly surprised by the pants/blazer. But pretty much anything would look good on you!

Complaining about their shape as being the manufacturer's fault is totally wrong. Certain dresses suits certain bodies. They can also be altered. You are not tall, I am also petite. I also need to alter 80% of my clothes.

Tina for the 2nd dress you can pull that off and spend a little less when you just put a tailored bottom part which is fluffy and just add a belt full of stones then during reception you can remove the bottom part and use the belt! :)

If you cut the first dress at mid thigh length n hem it, it'll make a pretty white dress I think. And you can layer the white blazer with belt over it. And the second one, if one need last minute summer wedding dress, it's a great option The third one is actually perfect for last minute beach wedding The last one will look really nice at some event with red lips n red heel

Asos saved the day for my wedding! I originally ordered a dress for $300 from JJ'shouse as I wanted a short 60's style dress. I ordered it a month early and it was a disaster! Nothing like the picture. I looked in every shop and boutique and nothing fit as I was a size 14. 2 weeks before the wedding I ordered a backless vintage style white dress from Asos for $60 (non bridal) it arrived 2 days before the wedding and was perfect 😍

That two piece set would be nice for the late night wedding party after dinner. More comfortable and you can probably wear some chic flat shoes with it when the heels are hurting.
