This is so perfect! I’m planning a 5 day trip to Taiwan in November! The food and snacks looks so good. How many places did your family usually visit in one day? It’ll be my first international trip so a lot of breaks will be needed I’m sure 😅..

aw i love Taiwan! The food is homey but also healthy. I'm also not a big fan of the rice rolls (usually made with healthy grain rice and small amounts of filling like meat floss and pickled veggies) - its cheap and healthy so its a staple. I think my favorite foodie spot would still be the night markets. So much variety of food and so good. I enjoyed stinky tofu the first time i visited but not so much the second. Also bring home a whole suitcase of pineapple cakes everytime I return lol.

I'm on the same page as you as the reviews of the "clay oven roll" and "salty rice roll" as a Taiwanese person. I grew up wondering why people liked these combinations so much. One is just too much carbs and the other one was dry and almost flavorless. Not worth the carb count, ahaha!
