Kickass version. Your rhythm is real tight and you literally nailed the solo that is undoubtedly one of the hardest solos ever composed. Crazy dynamics and velocity. You locked that groove in. The way that she does it requires more flexibility.

It's more of a comfort thing. I think a lot of guitar players can learn to hold power chords that way but it doesn't matter much. Nothing to take away from her performance at all.
@gianf.116 жыл бұрын
I play with power chords with middle, index and ring finger, is not flexibility, is player preference and the position of the hand, it becomes something your body just do by default after learning for the first time

I've listened to that solo a bazillion times since 1990. Never heard it played live so perfectly by anyone. Truly a rare talent. But more impressive is her dedication and hard work. It shows. That took tremendous effort to get every detail down so smoothly and flawlessly. Off the charts skill for sure, but her work ethic is clearly the key. You don't just get that good wishing for it. Bravo! I hope she has a long and prolific career and look forward to seeing where she takes the art form. Don't let the mountains of praise you are sure to get change you in the least, Tina. Some of the best guitarists in the world, who have been playing decades longer than she has, would readily admit that they cannot perform some of the same feats on the fretboard that she can. She is a once in a lifetime virtuoso on the guitar. The combination of her talent, feel, speed, accuracy, dexterity and complexity is truly a gift from God. You're overreacting. Marty has better... everything maybe? He wrote this piece of art and many, many other. In my opinion what makes a guitarist great isn't just the technique - it's also the feel, the knowleadge, improvisation, creativity. She sounded like she was struggling a bit - you don't get any of that from marty or any other "best" guitarist. She's obviously mastered the instrument in my opinion, but that doesn't mean that's she's a once in a lifetime virtuoso. (I haven't seen her playing live too. Playing live is very much different than in a studio or your own room) Just to be clear - I'm not hating on her or anything. I wish she'd come back to covering!

900 people are too embarrassed to admit that they get out-shredded by a 16 y.o. AWESOME cover, keep rockin!

About 90% of them are people that probably thought they were going to hear some country song or something didn't even know what it was at least that would make better sense or like you said out shredded . I have sent the song to a couple guitar players and they both came back with something negative. That type of jealousy has broke up many a band LOL
