OMG! This totally worked! When I called Tineco they said it cannot be repaired..I was so sad coz this machine really makes cleaning the floor easier.Did all the troubleshooting but nothing worked....until I found this video. Thank you soooo much! Saved me a lot of money.😊

Unbelievable!! Same here. Collectively I reckon we’ve saved over $10,000 worth of machines in just a short time which is amazing. I’d suggest a little squirt of WD40 every few months as well to stop it happening again

You are a legend. I didn’t even the check the motor, because I didn’t have anything at hand. Just sprayed ballistol into it and it works like a charm. Saved me a lot of money.

This tip is so simple yet incredibly effective! Like many other owners, my Tineco Floor One S3 was only producing an error message. During the self-cleaning process, the water was no longer being suctioned up, and in normal operation, it would stop after just a few seconds. I was already about to take the device apart (there are some complicated KZbin videos on this) when I came across this post. I carefully applied WD-40 into the upper opening (below the motor) and waited for 30 minutes. Then, during the self-cleaning test, nothing happened at first! The same problem as before. I was seriously about to throw the Tineco away, but I decided to give it one last try. I used a screwdriver to get into the opening and tried to forcefully turn the rotor. And lo and behold: suddenly, it moved a few millimeters, then better, faster, and easier with each attempt. After that, I ran another self-cleaning test and ... voila!!! Suddenly, everything runs smoothly! This tip saved me a lot of money! AWESOME! A huge thank you to Nate’s Toolbox!!!! 🥳👏🍾🍷🍻🥂

absolute champ! mines been back to tineco twice for the issue and replaced the motor each time. it happened a third time and whilst in warranty their repairer had shut down and they couldnt fix (paid me out 70% of purchase price after 18months use). i dumped a heap of silcon spray in there and turned the impellor with a metal rod - first time didnt work but second did a charm! FYI looks like if all else fails a new motor is only $50 and easy to swap anyway. many thanks!

I was hoping it would fix my problem but after the first lot of spray the problem persisted and I was so disappointed. Thought to give it another good spray and hoped for the best. Wouldn't you know it, it worked like a charm! Can't thank you enough. You're a champion!

Glad I could help and great news. 🗞️ and good idea turning the brush roller! By turning the brush roller mechanism that would be attached to the motor drive which would have gotten water into it and rusted. I’ll use that trick too. I would highly recommend to still spray WD40 into the motor occasionally otherwise it will seize up again in a very short period.

We have the S5 steam. From start it started saying "Run cleaning cycle" as soon as you started using it. I will do this fix but if it is not working I will stay away from Tineco because for such a premium product this is a rookie design flaw. The cleaning (when it's working) is brilliant. I am not to happy with how finecky to put back the tanks in to the machine too.

Maybe a light oil but you really need a spraying water dispersant like WD40. It’s cheap compared to a repair

We’re having issues with our S7 pro where it keeps stopping and telling us to “check the brush roller”!! I have done a fairly decent deep dive online to see if there is a way to reset the machine, but cannot find information anywhere! :( I have emailed the support team with no response yet! Also, we have extensively cleaned and checked everything and nothing seams to be out of place! Any suggestions that you may have?
@NatesToolbox6 ай бұрын
Hmmmm haven’t seen that before does the roller move ? If not it could be the roller motor
@TheVrPlayer303 ай бұрын
Mine did the same thing. I even bought new brush rollers thinking they were the problem. I fixed it by removing the brush roller and manually turning the little thing on the inside of the main machine that hold the inside of the brush roller in place. It wouldn't budge but finally I got it to turn, reattached the brush roller and it was good to go. Hope your one is a simple fix like mine was.

What is the law in Australia? In the UK they have to repair, replace or refund in full and cannot offer a part refund.
@NatesToolbox2 ай бұрын
Same law but unfortunately the retailer Godfreys of probably 40+ years went into liquidation which is where it was purchased from. I was lucky to reach out to the actual manufacturer and they mostly came good. The best part is I got the old one working and most of my money back 🙌🏻. Australia is not great at enforcing overseas companies but if the local retailer was still operating it would have been easy .

Same problem with the S3. The impeller is made out of metal and is prone to rust. Each screw on my S3 is rusting. I lost count of how many times I sprayed wd40 or opened it to check for failures. Had to modify even the contact points because they would make good contact on the base. This cleaner is an engineering disaster!
@Julia-zz3gl2 ай бұрын
OMG mine is brand new. I have only used it once and it is already not sucking up and is leaving the floor wet. The cleaning cycle left the roller wet and is doing nothing but spreading dirty water around the floor now.
@W-kk2zm2 ай бұрын
Did you put the hepa filter in the dirty water tank?
@Julia-zz3gl2 ай бұрын
@@W-kk2zm Yes. I have had a reply from Tineco today saying that the roller comes with a protective layer and to try washing it. It was a nice message and said the problem may be with the dirty water tank.
@NatesToolbox2 ай бұрын
Wow can you hear the vacuum motor start up after about 5 seconds of rolling. If not it could be the motor
@Mick_Au7 ай бұрын
Hey mate so you are not going to worry about a refund? I thought my Roborock dyad pro was bossy but the tineco seems to take the cake haha 😂
@NatesToolbox7 ай бұрын
Since Godfrey’s went into liquidation I had zero chance of a refund or repair through them as you just become an unsecured creditor, apparently they will only have enough money to pay out staff that’s it. So I emailed Tineco direct and they offered a replacement but then came back and said out of stock, so after a couple back and forth emails they finally offered a 70% refund. But then I came across this fix and it worked so I’m only out $270 with working machine (for now) Beauty haha 👍🏻
