Fixed. Check with manufacturer before attempting this because it may void your warranty. Same issue with ours. I removed both water containers. Flipped the vacuum upside-down. Used something thin enough to move the motor fins. Then I sprayed WD40 into the motor area. Spinned the fins more with a thin tool. Reinstall the water containers. Held the self clean cycle button down for 30 seconds. Tried it outside on the concrete in case it did suck. And it's been working. Wife said it's been working better. I suggest once a month do the same thing.

Such a wonderful product that doesn't last longer than 1.5 years. Ive had it around 1.5 years too and the same thing is happening. It should definitely not be having motor failure already. Especially sinse it only gets used once every couple of weeks.

They only replace if it’s in warranty. I replace mine once due to motor failure after about 1.5 years. The replacement motor broke again in about 1.5 years again and this time they refused to replace it for free cause it’s been 3 year since original purchase. The quality of the machine is not durable and I’m looking for a different brand. Your video seems more like an ad than a solve. I don’t like it

This happened to me a week ago I had same exactly like your on the charging base self cleaning or when cleaning mode it is stopped in 5 seconds and leaking water as I believe it was suction motor failed! I am wondering if they can send me a new one as I had it for 2 years now.

This isn’t really how to fix it. It’s how you have to ship it back to receive a new one.

I had mine and loved it but had motor failure after about 1.5 years like many others in the comments. Tineco paid the shipping and repaired my S3 quickly. Now it's not even a year and a half later and the same thing is happening. I'm so disgusted and disappointed in the long term performance of something that was pretty expensive for a floor cleaner. I so regret telling friends and family what a great investment it was. I know at least 4 people that bought one because of my recommendation. How embarrassing.

At least this video inspires me to contact customer service after many attempts to fix the same issue, in my case, as there is no service center in the United Arab Emirates where I am currently living, they offer me a 60% refund. Well, it's not bad for me as I used it for 22 months already.

Hold down the self clean, power, and auto/max button at the same time for just a second or two, while on the charger. It’ll reset real fast and the suction and error will be fixed.

I bought it two months ago for almost 500 francs. I haven't charged the battery for a while and it doesn't start charging anymore. It keeps telling me to clean something, but it doesn't have a battery to clean. I do not understand anything and am disappointed by this device. I don't know, does anyone have any advice for me?

My S3 had the same error and contact Tineco, they only offered a 12% of original amount I paid as refund, no repair value and no replace unit for free. won't last more than 2 years, that's the major problems for this products.

I agree this product won't last for more than 2 years. We have to send it back to tepair within 2 years and now it's 3rd year, it broke again.

Was highly considering this unit but this comment section is quite helpful. If every person said "So my motor failed but after 1 call or 1-2 back and forth emails a replacement was on the way" Sure, I could go for that. But if I'm going to pay nearly $350 for a unit and have the motor fail I'm going to be pretty pissed if it takes 10 emails to resolve. We had an old Hoover Floormate that is no longer made and you can't find the filters anywhere. I tried one of the new hoover "onepwr" and the unit was DOA. I'd be curious to see if people have had the same motor failures with Tineco's cheaper models..

yeah you’re right. I’m gonna definitely update the description with this caveat. I can tell you that everyone that has their motor fail, or at least majority of them are happy to get a replacement because we as a community honestly love this thing it is fantastic and I couldn’t imagine life without it!

Our customer service was nowhere near as helpful. I'm really upset with how common the failure is, and there is no option other than sending them another buck and the unit to fix it.

I contacted customer service. My machine is 2.5 years old- conveniently outside of the 2 year warranty. They responded with a lovely go f-yourself and a 10-20% coupon. Any advice?

WiFi connection from app to device will show notifications of error messages. Hope that helps! :)

Unfortunately, your experience is not common. This happened to me after 18 months, they charged me to ship back, fixed it, and sent it back to me dirty. It broke again a year later when it was out of warranty and they just sorry about your luck.

I've had two of these machines and both stopped working, giving the error "please clean dirty water tank". Cleaned it several times and then got, "please reset or contact customer service". It doesn't reset. Both machines worked maybe a year and then quit. DO NOT buy. It's great when it works, but the fact it doesn't last longer than a year for the price is complete BS.

I have one that keeps saying clean the dirty water tank after one swipe talk about annoying. It used to work 2 -3 swipes now a 1/2 one before it says clean the tank. Mind you im cleaning everyrhing on the machine. Came on youtube to see if anyone else had this issue. I have had mine 2 years or less.

I believe it was because we were putting vinegar in the solution. After we stuck to their solution and water it didn’t seem to happen again knock on wood 😅

​@@LoganDunning As I suspected! I was thinkin the same by applying some amount of bleach to prevent smelly mops and liquid but something tells me it would be bad for the Tineco, if ever I buy this. Almost all vacuums have filtered air pass through their motors. if only I could see how they built this, there could be a hack to prevent this prob. Anyways, thanks!!

per 6 mesi non funzionava e un giorno per puro caso ho risolto staccando un connettore, senza quel connettore é ripartito il motore aspirazione, senza il connettore poi ho provato a fare la pulizia automatica e mi dava errore vasca vuota. poi ho inserito il conettore ed é ripartito, ora funziona. spero di essere d'aiuto a qualcuno.. il connettore é quello rosso che si trova in alto a sinistra.

So I followed the troubleshooting steps. And I reached out to customer service. And it was within the two-year warranty. So they sent me a new one. I had to pay import fees to Canada. And the company Tineco, who are amazing covered these fees!! 🙏

@@LoganDunning they finally replied and ask that I send video footage. Of course, I didn’t even get a video of it saying motor failure. I let it see all day Saturday and it is now working but the motor sounds terrible. So I sent them a picture of my app saying motor failure and videos of how the motor looks and how it sounds. It’s all corroded and orange on the inside.

Happened to me twice already 😕 This is so great device but so unreliable. First device was replaced, now let’s see what will happen with the second one, but I probably don’t want to try it again and again. (I was using only Tineco cleaning solution and water)

Yes this happened to me. On the S5 pro. They just wanted me to send it back and they would repair it. I just got it in September so I requested a refund. Switching to Bissell

Bissell, no questions asked, sent me a whole new machine when I had an issue and said I can keep the old one for parts!!! NOW THAT IS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Tineco is known for their excruciating and painful repair/replacement process and they treat all customers as suspects from what I have read.

I’ve bought two machines and never again. Both have broken down and now they want me to pay to send it to them $106. I’ve sent both machines back and forth - total of 4 times and both machines still don’t work. I’d never recommend Tineco to anyone. Over priced junk 😢

I’m in Canada and I can’t get anyone on the phone and I have emailed them asking when they will ship out my S5 Pro and I have not received a response and it’s been 3 days. I’ve read some pretty concerning reviews on this company, even telling customers to keep quiet about their negative experience and one customer even said they demanded they write a positive review and screenshot it and send it to them in order to receive a replacement motor!!!! Sounds shady.

Something this expensive should not break so easily. Mine broke after 6 months, sent replacement. It lasted 6 months. They would NOT REPLACE. Not durable machine. Company not awesome.
