Ting is great for very light users and maybe as a backup phone. But other users should probably consider other plans...

Ting is good, and I really like their customer service, but their plans charge fees and taxes as a post paid plan, so the actual amount I pay is quite a bit more than their low rates, I'm looking at possibly porting over to either Mint Sim or Red Pocket for lower final costs
@Gamesnstuffguy7 жыл бұрын
I like the concept of Ting's pricing but not the actual pricing. Even if you are a light user, there are better options.

I agree! Walmart's Straight Talk has a Unlimited Talk and text plan with 25 gigs of data, which has worked great for me!

How does it handle spam callers? Do they have a blocker app like some cell providers do?

How about CellNUVO ? They offered the free plan, if you see ads and answer questionnaires.

Can you do a review of mintsim. Its new and it has great prices!
@Gamesnstuffguy7 жыл бұрын
Been using MintSim. No problems at all, and with discount code SHOPCLEVER I saved 20% off 12 months, 2GB at 4G LTE and unlimited slower data after that, plus unlimited talk and text. T-MOBILE coverage so see their map to see if coverage will work for you.
@YuShawStang7 жыл бұрын
Their customer service is an issue. the instruction of activated service was not so clear, so I did not port my old number to MintSim. After I e-mailed them , they just responded "there is nothing we can do". So I ported my number to Google voice. so far overall is okay.

Ting has great customer service, and their rates were quite a bit cheaper for me than Virgin Mobile's when I was new to smartphones and didn't use them very much. Although I still hardly ever text and only make voice calls on road trips, I do use data a lot more on my smartphone now, so other services are cheaper for me. Since RingPlus is no longer an option, I'm currently a Tello customer (although Twigby's built-in unlimited texting would make them a great deal if I texted more). On a different phone, I've tried Pure Talk USA (very good customer service, but I needed more data than I could afford with them) and MintSIM (great prices, but the T-Mobile coverage in my area stinks, so I couldn't use that phone most of the time).

Urgent help -> Hello Everyone. I bought a second hand Iphone 8 Plus and when I restore the phone it show me to select 1 of these options 1. Ting, 2. Xfinity Mobile. I want to know what it means? because After some time my 4G converted into E. so After that I restore my phone again and now it's 4G. so what will be the issue.

Do you prefer Ting or Mint for an unlocked iPhone 6 that was originally on AT&T? This is just a spare phone, mostly for a little data and emergencies. Thanks!
@StetsonDoggett6 жыл бұрын
I would probably go with Ting. The price will likely be cheaper because the phone will not be getting as much use as a primary phone would. You could also consider US Mobile.
@LarryGanz6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I set up an account and am now waiting to see if they reach out to me to offer a SIM. Both of my spare iPhone 6 are unlocked SIM free models and work with GSM and CDMA. Their website says that they now support visual voicemail and WiFi Calling with GSM on iOS 10 and later, but can you confirm that for me as well as working with iMessage? My plan is to wipe and restore one of them with my brother's iCloud backup and send him the phone but keep the SIM for the other one, and when he gets it then he can move his SIM over to it. The problem is one of these 6 often gives us a no SIM error message, and the other had unreliable WiFi and GPS for my daughter despite reset network settings and location settings - I want to see if setting up as new fixes these issues, but Apple dictates that we can't set up an iPhone without a SIM.

i actually just did the math on their site, and if u max everything out, 100 lines,all minutes,texts,data,etc.. it would only cost $1150!(thats actually not bad because it comes out to be $12 per line/person, if u charges each employee only $20 per line per month, you could make some serious cash,like $800,not bad if u want to keep in touch with your employees,they can use the phone for personal use also, and you make some money in the process, everybody wins!)

How did you get the Ting name in the status bar? I recently switched but my phone still says Sprint.
@StetsonDoggett6 жыл бұрын
It may only say Ting if you use Ting on the T-Mobile network. As it sounds like you're using them on the Sprint network, that is probably why it still say Sprint.

Ting is NOT cheaper than other options! I had Ting for a time and Data will cost you a lot of money. The ONLY way Ting works is for phone that you hardly ever use, but if you do use it, it ads up fast! H2O at $30 a month is cheaper... So if actually use the phone, be careful, if it is a phone you hardly ever use, none cheaper...
@jamespatterson69725 жыл бұрын
Ha, I was just thinking about buying TING until I ran into this post about h2O. I see h2O is affiliated with AT&T. So this might be my best bet but cheaper.
