Way cool...love using tinkercad to do simple cutting or making/tweaking simple shapes like putting air vents in a orange pi zero case for cooling. Great video!

Really appreciated it - thank you! The ruler can be tricky on that beta version and you just clarified it. Congrats!

Very nice, Chuck! I've always used work-arounds to align to center, this would have made things so much easier!

Thanks as I was trying to center a hole on an oblong block the other day and did it manually, but would have preferred to be able to do it using the rulers. Then you can see the dims etc are equal or not....Laurie

Chuck, this was exactly what I was looking for... in fact, most of your videos are ones that answer my questions. Keep up the great work!! BTW, any tips on how to measure the distance between two existing points / items in Tinkercad?

Hey chuck, I think it would be awesome of you were to make a review on the Mono Price select v2 3d printer. I know how great the mono price select mini is and how popular it is, so I am left with the question if the MP select is just as big as a steal and I am sure others have the same question.

Great tutorial. This is off topic but how did you get your ruler font that size? The numbers I have are to small for me to read without squinting. Cannot figure out how to change it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is great. A question. When I find stl on thingiverse and the screw holes are too small, is it better to recreate the entire model and then fix the holes, or is there an easy way to center a larger hole on an already existing model?

Yeah the beta is the "new" standard...it even allows you to hide objects and stuff...it's ALOT better than the old one...still quite simple but allows for really cool yet simple designs

How do we join faces? Even with the micro-adjust (Shift arrow) I end up with my objects being 0.2-4mm apart, or 0.1-0.3 overlapping. I want them to JUST MEET. The Align tool will line everybody up on an edge, or center. I want one left and one right... is there a way to do that?

Put the workplane on the side you want to connect to, then place the second one on the workplane. Then move the workplane back to normal and center if necessary.

Rather than rotating the workplane to see if your holes go through the bottom, when using the align tool just click on the solid object first, then the alignment dots are relative to that object rather than both objects, so you could then just click the X, Y, and Z dots and the holes would have been centered perfectly to where the solid object is. 1. Select the objects you want to align. 2. Click Align 3. Click on the object you do not want to move, now the alignment dots are relative to the object you selected and this object will not move during alignment
