Came on over from vgg, and watched this video because it said for mom. My mom loved old car's, and my step dad was working on a 55 chevy to take her driving in. In 2016 I got a call from the ER to get there fast. I was shocked because her complexion was so yellow that by gut sank. An mri showed more tumors than they could count. Cancer that had spread from somewhere else. We were told a few hour's to maybe two days, and she had not been sick prior to this, except she felt like she pulled a muscle picking up a heavy 1700's clock my grandpa had restored twenty year's ago. We took her home, and in four day's she was gone. Don't know your story, but I was close to my mom, and it's hard when they go. Both parent's are gone, so make sure you call them, and see them, because life is short. I will be 50 in a few day's, and can tell you that time flies. God bless everyone.

Your work is amazing Luke. I have missed your videos, thanks for putting this stuff out. How many hours did you have in it all together? Are you getting some sleep finally now that it is done?
@Tinman2Kustoms4 жыл бұрын
haha thanks man! I slept for 2 full days after I got home from SEMA. So i'm caught up for a while. 5000+ hours total. That's not including dad's time in the 90's. An incredible amount of work went into this one. And not sure if I will ever do it again. Especially not unpaid. Took over my life for 2 years and i'm still paying off debts as a result of those 2 years unpaid and probably will be for the next 10 years. But it;s not always about money!

Hey im trying to find the video where you chop the oil pan on the cummins 12 valve rat rod. What video would that be?
@Tinman2Kustoms4 жыл бұрын
I didn't chop the oil pan on this car. I spent extra time building the motor mounts to fit perfectly and allow the car to lay frame, but kept the oil pan 1/2" off the ground.

I was wondering what happened to you nice job! Did you enter that car at sema?
@Tinman2Kustoms4 жыл бұрын
Sure did! Took home top 12 overall and Top 3 Young gun (Builder under the age of 27). I was a bit disappointed with that finish because i believe the work in my build far surpassed the winner of the young gun segment, but stuff doesn't always go as planned when car shows are involved lol

@@Tinman2Kustoms You do good work, don't let a judge ruin your spirit! How many contestants were there? Also how many hours do you have in that car, do you have any idea? Just remember everybody that's watching your channel knows you do excellent work!

Do you ever did you dad crap for what he did back in '99?
@Tinman2Kustoms4 жыл бұрын
No, I respect my dad more than that. He saw me fixing shit and would get upset, but I never rubbed it in his face. He doesn't need to hear that shit. But I have to mention it in the videos otherwise it doesn't make sense as to what I'm doing or fixing. Some people think I'm an asshole for it, but it's part of the game when you're trying to fix other peoples projects.

if it wasnt a sema car you could done less
@Tinman2Kustoms4 жыл бұрын
Could have always done more or less. I just don't like shit to not be done right
