In this episode, we dive into the much-anticipated install of Charlie Brown's new motor, fresh from Uncle Tony at BES. What seemed like a direct fit turned into a full shop day of refitting dry sump lines, modifying heads, and custom milling flanges for the headers. After swapping in a new flex plate, we ran into some unexpected transmission issues that required a bit of precision sanding to get things right. With our radial shocks in place and a vintage timing gun in hand, Charlie Brown finally roared back to life. It’s been a wild ride, but that's the nature of drag racing! There's better motors to build for going really fast. How many ls cars have head gasket issues unless you move to those hellaciously expensive aftermarket blocks. @@lsxtmt4910- Carbs always make more peak power than EFI due to intake charge cooling from the fuel going through the intake manifold. EFI obviously has many advantages over carbs such as individual cylinder tuning, cold starting, drivability and better mpg.

The amount of vibration & the Frequency caused by the 2 step is just incredible. they tested that with sensors at key locations on the frame at different point and could not believe the effects it has on the motor and driveline .

That’s the bore space of the engine. A stock Big block Chevy is 4.84, this motor is a 5 in and the big nitrous motors are 5.3 bore space.

New motors don't come assembled. It's a different, cause it's got different heads. I would say you got a pretty good deal, really. I think it takes a lot,to get all of the special parts to work together. Hope you get good service out of it. Would like to see you lite the candles. Happy tuning.
