In this video, we'll go through some of the most important habits you'll need to master if you want to reach Financial Independence a lot faster.
Financial Independence doesn’t really mean anything unless we define what it actually is. While it does have a lot to do with the amount of wealth you have, it’s more about having the ability to choose to do or choose not to do certain things.
There are even different levels of F.I. as well. Someone who pays off all their bad debt has reached a higher level than someone who is on the continuous hamster wheel of taking on debt to buy things they can’t afford.
Someone who has a 3 month emergency fund has reached a higher level of F.I. than someone who has $0 saved up which forces them to stay at a job they really don’t enjoy.
The ultimate level of Financial Independence is of course someone who can do what they want whenever they want regardless of the amount of money it costs.

Disclaimer: This video is for entertainment purposes only. Everyone's situation is different so do your own research before making any decisions with your money. If you need help then contact a Certified Financial Fiduciary before trying anything that is mentioned in this video. I prefer a Fiduciary financial advisor that charges an hourly fee as opposed to an ongoing fee based on a % of your portfolio. Always remember that incentives determine the type of advice they give you so one that charges an hourly fee is less likely to be problematic.

I was reading over the weekend of a man who worked at Walmart and decided to work every OT possible. He ended up investing his pay and is on path to be a 1 to 2.5 MM retiree at 65-70. Was a neat story that even a Walmart worker (living very simple) can retired a millionaire.

I worked a job that paid me 42$ an hour at it's peek. I retired at 58 years old and I loved my job for 40 years. How many Walmart employees can claim they love their job? And that's the key isn't it...

Great video as always Jared! While the path you laid out is aggressive it certainly is achievable once you've taken care of bad debt. Could you share the link to the FI calculator shown? I'm interested to see my retirement trajectory using your model.

The one I use is called "Waking Up". I might be a little biased since I was a beta tester before they released it to the public. Most of them have free trials so I'd suggest trying out a few of them to see which one fits your style the best.
