I got a tiny hawk 3 it stopped flying and the vtx stopped working. Hopefully they go through with their word on fixing/replacing it on warranty

Good idea man im gonna do that before i get to crazy with flying it. Kinda new to fpv but ive messed with cheap drones in the past to test the waters. Thanks for the video

Great idea thanks for sharing,you could put another small zip tie in the rear holes so the battery has two points of contact,yours is too far forward(could slide off in a crash)OR use rubber bands like the Darwin fpv baby ape and Emax tiny hawk 2 come with!

Thanks, nice hint. I have some magic - VTX goes black after some crashes, randomly. But checking if it got losen - no luck. I've just attachet zip tie - hopefully will solve the issue.

I’m stuck in pit mode… only get clear feed at like 1foot…. 😢 it all happened after I changed mainboards new vtx n all, but after seeing everything up got two battery’s flying then red light and no fun… after flashing cli dumping no gyro no Rx… now got it flying but stuck in pit mode….

I had a crash last week that busted one of my motors and after I replaced the motor, I noticed that I wasn’t getting more than 20-30ft without losing my video signal. The video feed is still there and seems consistent when the goggles are right next to the quad, but as soon as I fly further away, it gets fuzzy and goes to crap. Could this same issue potentially be causing that, or do you think my vtx got burned up somehow?

Did you check your see if it goes into 200mh. Mine was set to 200mh. But for some reason after I changed other settings it went back to 25mh. So I had to switch again. Also if your vtx is acting funny. Try to unlock the vtx again. If you haven't done that at all. Then I would suggest starting there.

I had the vtx on my tinyhawk 3 turn off and on mid flight and it turned out one of the connectors broke off and disconnected and reconnected constantly.

Great diagnosis, Micro cracks on solder joints is very common in all electronics. Over time vibration or cold solder joints etc will develop small micro cracks. What you did basically is what is known as reflowing. Have done alot of it on old retro video cartridges & consoles, Sega, Nes, Snes etc. Even vehicles on the instrument clusters. You will get flickering lights, readouts showing only part of number or letters and gauge needles waving around. You go in and reflow the solder joints and will fix the problem in most cases.

Mine got messed up coz I've crashed it a few times hard and actually caused the vtx to move (those pillars got bent or pulled).

The reason is that pinning from 1 board to another on a freestyle drone doesn't ever work for very long

Ok, I might have people's problem figured out. I was changing some settings in my drone. When I went to arm it. After I armed it, the drone Vtx stopped working. Freaked me out. So after a while of thinking about it. I unlocked the VTX AGAIN! After that, the drone worked fine again. It might lock after you change settings. So after they are set. If the screen goes crazy and doesn't pick anything up. Try unlocking it again. Hope that fixs your problem, guys. Let me know if it does pls in a reply. Thx
