The Bird's Nest founder & tiny dweller, Robyn, developed the village as a way to financially support herself during retirement, and she plans to keep it permanently affordable. It's organically grown into a fun, supportive, gated community of women who are living their best lives together! My favorite part, is the young lady & son who are now living in safety and learning about how much they r cared about and included. It was so heartwarming watching her son have his kitten, helping with firewood, learning to drive the big mower. Getting to do things and have things in their so much better lives now since they have escaped from a violent life. She’s getting a wealth of knowledge and support from this wonderful community she is now a part of. 😊♥️♥️♥️

The Bird's Nest community is a great place for women to live in a secured environment with low rent, places to congregate and socialize, and within driving distance of 3 towns. They all seemed like fun and interesting women who make great neighbors. I wish we had a place like that in Seattle, WA! I rent a studio for $1260/month. I'm still working at 70 because the cost of living is so high. I was born and raised in Houston and attended UT/Austin too, but have lived in the Pacific NW for 43 years. Robyn, you have created a real-life "Golden Girls" supportive community. It takes hard work and dedication, not to mention money to create a safe haven. Times are tough and life can be hard on all of us. I love what you have created and the plans you have to improve it all even more. If I lived there I'd be gardening and landscaping 24/7. You have the perfect place to create different gardens. Get some shade trees, flowering trees, scented trees, flowers and bushes. Design a day or night-scented blooming garden (or a Moon Garden) to escape the Texas heat - maybe around or on the way to your firepit area to start. Build a waterfall or set up a birdbath or two, and surround it with herbs for cooking, tea and for your health. I saw another video with your tenant who is into permaculture. Organic food but only whatever you actually like to eat, fruits, nuts, veggies and flowers everywhere. Every paradise requires critters, splashing water, pretty flowers, and (edible) greenery. Good luck to you and all the ladies (and the men that might join) may you thrive and prosper - it looks like you are already living your best life. Thx for the tour, I hope the people who need you most will find you through this video. More power to you!

I absolutely love this idea and the lady that owns it is a saving grace to these women. I’ve always wanted to set something like this up for battered women to help them feel secure and at peace

Nicely done. This is my retirement goal. I've been talking to single women I know of retirement age and many are interested in this. The issue is where to live. I currently in Missouri where the weather goes from one extreme to the other DAILY. I, personally, want to be somewhere moderate year-round. I'm getting too old to shovel snow and my arthritis is over the extreme cold.

This place is literally somewhere I have dreamed of all my life. A piece of property filled with an amazing community of small living people. Everyone looks so friendly and happy. This is a beautiful haven. I hope you guy continue to grow and be happy. Maybe one day I can check it out too. I live a hour and half from you guy.

This is what most Middle aged women want now... a communal living situation with personal space, safety and good friends! Would be ideal to have a little storage shed on each site. We need these in every state!
