With your voice and Finn's guitar playing (and your guitar/piano playing and Finn's voice), you two could totally make some cash on the road doing small gigs here and there and busking. Don't know if Luke has any musical talent. Maybe he could be your manager/roadie/promoter. 😀

Glory, just buy the smallest version of a knockoff brand fridge. Just make sure it also will act as a freezer and then buy those plastic refreezable ice (blue) thingies. And then the only reason you use the freezer is to freeze your two sets of Blue Ice things. One set is alway in the freezer and the other is fresh ice in your cooler. You will end buying ice. and can plug in the small fridge every time you drive or use your generator.

Your ice will last longer in your cooler if you put newspaper over the top of everything. We used to use that all the time when we would go camping and it worked like a charm. It's also a good insulator if you have to sleep on the ground in a tent you put that underneath your sleeping bag.

Glory, I have done long trips for years and used an ice chest. First, get a good one with thick sides.’usually a couple hundred bucks. I put everything I can in glass jars with a twist lid. No, never had one break. They are water tight. Only thing I have ever tried that truly are water tight for long periods.’I usually only have add ice about once a week. Put all you can in them and cut food to fit if need be. As ice melts, some jars will float around a little.’no biggie. Remember, if there is any ice at all still in water, the water temp will be near 32 degrees. Cold water keeps items just as cold as ice till ice completely gone. Having a fair amount of water is great because can see the items. Simply not necessary to constantly have all ice. I have kept food colder than a typical refrigerator for weeks. Again, have learned from much experience and leaks, glass jars with screw lids are the most sure fire containers. I use various sizes. No need to buy ice every other day. Give it a try.

Still have my third, for 19 years, and it's likely to last me another 20-30 years! Best of all, I live in the US, so owning and carrying guns aren't an issue. 😀

I remember that you were applying for some sort of immigration thing for the US (I've forgotten if it's a Green Card or a Citizen thing, or whatever), which is why you had to leave the sailing boat to be in the US on time. So if a condition is that you are in the US for this US immigration thing then when you leave the US to go up into Canada is that going to be an issue? The immigration officials might not have airplane tickets to prove that you were outside the US, but videos on KZbin, all your social media, parking tickets from park rangers, your phone connecting with Canadian transmitters, are all proof that you stepped outside the US.

All that be as it may, hope you so enjoy your travels with two guys who have your back and love you. Thats another thing I would be so happy about if I was your Dad!!! Glory, if that Jackery is a 1500, it will drain a portable freezer in 2 days. I know, And I've hooked one up to my van while driving and killed my battery by accident. I personally prefer my Yetti, and I've kept ice 3 days in 100+ degrees Texas! Unless hooked up to good solar, the ice chest makes more sense as I prefer to conserve Jackery for laptop, fans, phones, etc.

Glory 🤔 have you found the channel ….. Megan Clarke? On KZbin She’s a girl about your age that has a very similar vehicle….. solo female also….. she has a GMC Yukon XL…… the same one that I used to have before I bought my van and started my channel…… Last I heard, I think she was somewhere near Alaska traveling so she might even be somewhere near you 😎👍 it be cool to see a video of you two together and your vehicles parked next to each other…… They’re both four-wheel-drive vehicles🤔 how fun🤘😎🤘

You have the same generator as me also….. I have 800 W of solar which charges my Bluetti system and keeps my van going in the summer……. But my generator provides 1800 W for the winter time and cloudy days….. If you get a big power system (so you can have a fridge ) that generator will power it no problem 😎👍 Full charge 14% to 100% in about four hours and about six dollars in gas….. winter time I use it about every 5 to 6 days
