I think the world of dating apps has changed. Sure, there are some real creeps. a lot of them. But if you avoid the apps that attract those types, you may be more successful. I am very much an introverted person. bar scenes don't appeal to me. i have a very small social group. and frankly, i just don't meet many people. So online dating was one of my only options. So i decided it was important enough to invest a little money into it. I chose one of the paid apps and immediately the "pool" of candidates got so much better. If people are willing to spend money on it, chances are they are a lot more serious about why they are there. Not saying it is a perfect solution but it does work. I met my wife nearly 8 years ago on a dating app and I couldn't be happier now. Our paths would have never crossed if it hadn't been for that app. Anyway, the perception of dating apps being "icky" needs to change. we are in a very digital/connected age. A dating app is just another method to allow you to connect with a larger group of people than your immediate bubble. Don't knock it too soon. Good luck Glory. You'll find your person. Guarantee it.

My daughter used a dating app,(reluctantly) and met her love. He’s from Alaska. She’s married, 3rd babe on the way and loving every minute of it! For her using a Christian dating app made it so she could by pass men she knew didn’t have the same life goals pretty quickly. She was open and honest as to her desires ( same as yours) and God was incredibly faithful and provided a Godly husband. And this all went down during Covid🤪- crazy time ! Don’t be afraid of it, it can and does work! Oh and by the way, there are 2 other women in her church that met in their husbands in the same way!

I think the first thing you should do is grow up, get a real job, help people who are hurting, stop depending on other people for your income, stop asking for money from people you don't know and start supporting yourself as a grown woman!!! IMO

It's here in ALASKA. You may never want to leave tho, so keep that in mind. Haha 😉 I'm speaking from experience too.. I've lived in 13 lower48 states, and been to every U.S. State, except Hawaii. Also, if you've never experienced international travel.... I highly recommend it. Only after you're comfortable with being by yourself and figuring out your strengths. I think you'll be surprised at just how beautiful this big world, IS. Sailing experience probably showed you much of that as well.
