No people do NOT need more people like her. This is a herd animal that needs to be in a pasture with other alpacas. Because of the alpaca hype there have been many cases that people bought 1 alpaca. Many of those alpacas then developed behavioural problems and had to be euthanised. This is rediculous.

I really love the fact that this alpaca farmer has used Cody's "difference" to make a difference in the lives of kids who also feel different. Brilliant. And natural. Cody apparently wasn't meant for the wild, and I take my hat off to this lady for being so hands on and loving with her animal. I don't know how Cody feels about the costumes but hey, things could be a lot worse ;) and of course, Cody is so unbelievably cute... the big eyes and her gentle nature.... sigh.... what a lovie!

actually alpaca are pretty clean - which is why they can be ideal for therapy training. They usually pick specific areas to eliminate. They will often hold it, until they get to that spot unless they REALLY need to go. They do htis to limit the smell's area (being prey animal and all)

Diane Watson​​​ my babe is fine. However, CPS took him at 2 days old from me at the hospital, because the CPS investigator lied and said I wanted to kill my son, when I had been referencing my desire to kill myself during pregnancy because of the source of my pregnancy. They still won't give him back to me. The court dealings keep getting extended. I never got to take him home. I did nothing. My midwives reported me to CPS, and I don't even know why. My midwives tried to force me onto meds 5 weeks before my due date even though I told them this was the best I was doing the whole pregnancy, and they dropped me 20 days before my due date because they discriminate against mental health and intellectual disabilities. My life has been nothing but a very difficult journey. I don't believe in God because I've seen the dark underbelly of the world we live in and of people. No one should have to have suffered as much as I have.  But thank you for your prayers, and no offense to your belief. It just doesn't work for me. I really do appreciate your prayers.

Cody is so sweet. Who cares if she's not "normal"? I gravitate towards life's outsiders and rejects and she's going on my animal heroes list and so is Amber. She reminds me of my cat Ziggy - she's four years old and a rescue. She was obviously the runt of her litter because she's such a delicate little pixie of a cat and is only about as big as a 6 month old kitten - she has two brothers (also rescues) both seem aware of her being undersized and they are like her bodyguards, always protecting her ;)

I lived on a farm with 4 alpacas, and at the time they ranged from 2 years to 9 years old, but when they first arrived the youngest was just under a year, and compared to Cody, my boys are giants at any age. It is sweet to see the bond.

I had a deformed pig in my house. The best pet ever. She oinked at the door to go out. I got her at 2 weeks-the pig mill breeder said she was 7 weeks and weaned! I had to bottle feed her and get her over ecoli. Her legs were so small she couldn't stand any longer and at 5 years had to be euthanized because of pain. She was like my kid so I understand how much you care for her. I hope she's well.
