I could add this comment to any of your videos, so it might as well be this one. I keep coming back to the idea of trying a modular setup, and your brilliant videos are the most inspiring. Soundscapes to get lost in; conversations between a musician and his instruments. Thank you.

Just awesome stuff as always. This inspired me big time to think of my system differently. Ever since I added the 0-Coast it's become a centerpiece instantly because of it's obvious power as a source. I'm waiting for the 0-Ctrl to be back in stock and I'll add that. 0-Coast is my first Make Noise product and it's already taking over.

@@CinematicLaboratory love it. It added an entirely different dimension to my system. Also exposed me to different patching & synthesis concepts I hadn't messed with before.

this is absolute madness and i cannot get enough. you’ve inspired me to take my o coast to complete uncharted (for me) lunacy, and to go ahead and give myself to modular. bless you

Just looking at some of your older video’s. How do you send triggers with o-control . I understand the gates , but not the trigger function

A wee bit jealous, because my 0-Ctrl is held up in transit. I’m learning to do some pretty odd stuff with just the 0-Coast though, and with the aid of a couple of iOS sound-mangling apps...

0-coast is one of a kind, and I will never ever part with it as long as I can see, hear and turn knobs.

Nice one Robert! Quick question: ZVERB vs Bat Verb...? In this case and in general w your work.? Best channel on YT for Modular!!
@CinematicLaboratory4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! For me personally, ZVERB is a really, really good allround reverb you can use in any patch where you need space and it covers 30 years of reverb with about 27 presets (not 100% sure). Desmodus is a creative reverb that is totally unreal, and it's a platform where you can load your own firmware for different applications. Also, ZVERB is mono in, while Desmodus is stereo in. In short, if you want to support your patch with lush, deep reverb, it's the ZVERB. If you're into sound design and want to create something 'unheard', Desmodus is one of a kind. BTW, when you patch 'time fidelity' on the ZVERB you can also get lost in uncharted territory. I still have to do a video about that. It's awesome. Finally, ZVERB is half the price of a Desmodus so it's huge value for money. Ah... choices...

how did you power 0-coast. 12V from MN case?
@CinematicLaboratory4 жыл бұрын
That's a long story. I am using simple DC to 12V euro adapters so they get 12V from the bus. So no soldering or breaking things. However, both are 15V so they draw a lot of current and the Shared System case can barely handle it. In this set, the Arbhar is almost too much. They didn't work reliable with the provided case power supply so I am now using 'medical grade' adapters which prevent 'stray current'. I suggest keeping them in their cradles, much easier. It's just that i don't have horizontal space in my closet so I can't easily bring all modules in the same 'video frame' when they're separate.

I find it a real bummer they didn’t make them rack compatible out of the box like the Moog semi stuff... still love them. I just made a shelf to get my 0-control right under what ever case I want to use with it.
@flannsixtyseven74894 жыл бұрын
I hoped you do something awesome with 0 Coast and 0 Control only.
@CinematicLaboratory4 жыл бұрын
I understand videos like this are a bit of a bummer when you only have the 'easel' combo and I hear you. The next video about the this combo will be called 'Division by Zero' and will only feature 0-coast and 0-ctrl. But it's pretty hard to make something insanely cool with just the two. I mean, one oscillator, eight notes and no effects. It's not easy so it takes way more time and experimenting to make something worth sharing on my channel. But I'll do my best and stack in as many tricks and tips as I can find. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion instead of just downvoting. This really helps to make my channel better.
