Outstanding! Great for the minimalist. (Me) I have a bed rail Tacoma, same as yours. This device would be perfect for my fat tire e-bike. Yes? Also curious to know if these work, one on either side of the truck bed, fr/rr, for a diagonally placed bike.

It would definitely work for your e-bike. It might work diagonally.

I imagine that that if you turn your front wheel side ways, either with the bike forward or sitting backwards in the bed. The tail gate could be closed on shorter bed trucks, ie 6' or shorter. Can this clamping system be used to hold the front turned sideways wheel?

Thanks Mike. Do you, or anyone else here know if this will fit the 2023 Tacoma 5' bed? I have the folding Tonneau cover, and wonder if the RT202 will fit the Tonneau C channel, if I fold the cover up and leave the tailgate down. Thank you. Paul

Yes you can use them with e-bikes.

if I have a truck bed liner already installed which model would be best for me to order. I like the small size. Also, they come in a set of two or do you have to order individually, or two for each bike?

If you have a C channel install on your truck go that route. If not the standard bed mount option will work. You get two in the package. I use one per bike unless it is a heavier ebike then I use two per bike.

I have a tailgate pad and sometimes when it’s high wind or I take a sharp turn by bike moves, would this work with a bike hanging off the pad as an extra point to hold the bike in place?

The C channel was pre installed on my Tacoma. I am not sure on the exact size.

Ah, it costs $180!!?? I had to do a double-take when I looked up the Amazon listing. I thought that I was looking at the wrong product. I could by a motorcycle bike rack from Harbor Freight, that supports 400 lbs., and it would cost less than this thing does.
