I got myself a Tiny Whoop, threw the 'Special Sauce' motors in it with some custom high AoA props, and that thing rips! On a calm day it can fly pretty sweet tricks outside. Once you switch the gyro off they get crazy. Flips and rolls are totally possible in your living room with it.

There a step by step guide on how to set up a Taranis to work with the Inductrix bnf, ie: What module is best/cheapest and how to set it up? Love to get a couple of these for indoor practice as I have built a 250 fpv quad but totally didnt realize how hard it is to fly.
@ulaB8 жыл бұрын
The best module is actually one you have to build yourself by taking the transmitter module of a Spektrum radio and some extra parts. Search for "JR-DSMX". There's even a forum thread on how to build one. If you are good with electronics you might be able to do it without the circuit board, but most just go for it.

@MickMod8 жыл бұрын
Luca Morelli First you will need a stock inductrix. The flitetest store and most irl hobby shops carry it. You need an fpv camera, and themflitetest store has that too. You need a transmitter, they are pretty expensive, they are on the FT store too. Remember that theres now a version ready built that comes with a screen and transmitter, its on the FT store. If you are a beginner i would reccomend the ready built one.
@ThomasShue8 жыл бұрын
I am not hearing anything about upgrading the plastic frame on the Inductrix FPV. Reviews on Horizon Hobby say the frame breaks in 2 flights. Also they say they get 1 min of flight time. I was going to buy my kid this for Christmas but am hesitant to say the least. Please can some of you owners please chime in. I hate for my kid to get a piece of junk for Christmas. thanks
@spacerconrad8 жыл бұрын
I can't speak to the fpv model, but my stock inductrix has been flown by a friend of mine, who tends to be pretty aggressive with his flying (and crashing), and it's survived with no damage so far.
@chrismofer8 жыл бұрын
just bought the fpv model: i was getting 30sec flights literally 30sec till i bridged the lvc (which i believe was faulty on my particular inductrix) and now i'm getting the proper 4-5min flights. the frame is ok, I have only broken one little spoke and that's after maybe 50 flights. it was easily repaired and new frames are cheap.
@kellerbomb7 жыл бұрын
I'm running 200 and 220 mah batteries and getting roughly 4-5 minutes. That should be standard, if you're not then there's something defective.

What about the performance impacts? What is the weight difference with the 205mah batteries and the carbon/aluminum frame? How do each of these upgrades impact the performance/flight times? Normally love the videos but this one left me wanting much more! :)
@9PlusUs8 жыл бұрын
With the 205 batteries, new frame and camera you're getting 3.5-4 minutes of flight. The punch with the motors is amazing. You can run on stock motors with the camera however it is a bit sluggish. The frame adds less than one gram over the stock frame. It isn't needed however I really liked the look of it and I tended to bend my frame up a bit when storing it in my bag :) I'll weigh everything out between a stock inductrix and the fully upgraded and update you later ;)
@FliteTest8 жыл бұрын
Hey Danamoose1234! The weight is about 1oz of difference. The regular one ways 20 oz's and the upgraded carbon/aluminum one is about 21oz's. As far as the flight times...upgraded motors and larger battery your looking at 4.1/2 minutes or so. With the same batteries and a STOCK inductrix your looking at about 6ish minutes of flight time! Because of the nature of the video was more a build, that is probably why you did not get all that info IN the actual episode... there are links in the Article page that talks a bit more about where to get the upgraded frame etc if needed! Thanks for all your support and happy flying!! - S.O.
@danamoose12348 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the responses! I cant wait for the motors to come back in stock so I can upgrade mine!
@RomiAlmeda8 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend the "Medium" motors over the stock ones since the fast ones are sold out? Would it even be worth it or just wait for the fast motors?
@FliteTest8 жыл бұрын
There definitely is a difference, but it all depends on what your hoping the quad will do. If you want top speed...wait for sure, if you just want to have fun and a little more performance, then grab a set of the mediums and see how you like it...you can always upgrade later if it ends up being not enough punch as well as you might fly with someone later who is not as experienced... and they might not do well with fast motors, so you could have them fly on the mediums. Thanks for you support and questions! Happy FLYING! ;)

The FT Flyer is great for outdoors, but people will tell you it does not fly like a plane. It is one of the simplest builds and a nice start though. Also nearly indestructable :)

@Tomahawk-ce6rl8 жыл бұрын
+Balu so I should buy a Spektrum controller?
@ulaB8 жыл бұрын
It depends on what you have now. You can get a ready to fly version of the Inductrix that includes a small controller. If you have a radio already, you might be able to use a module like I have for my Taranis.
@Tomahawk-ce6rl8 жыл бұрын
+Balu oh all right. Would you recommend me buying a better transmitter or i'll be fine with the preselected one that comes with the RTF version?
@ulaB8 жыл бұрын
The RTF version transmitter usually is limited in range. That is fine for an aircraft of this size, but will limit you if you want to use it for a bigger aircraft later or even need some programming. If you just want to start and are not sure if you want/need a bigger transmitter later, it is fine. But if you already know you are going to grow in the hobby, a full range transmitter might be an investment into the hobby. Because you usually get one transmitter and use it for a while. They can be expensive though.
@billypoe37038 жыл бұрын
