There’s a game that I’d quite like to make/see made on this device. Basically, the player(s) play as a flashing dot on the screen, and can move tile to tile, toggling each one on or off.

i think this device was made for duendes, but they could not say that on kickstater or on their website, but you know any duende, you probally hear them complain about devices being too big for their tiny hands.

You should try the Funkey S next. I own the Powkiddy clone. Its pocketable like the thumby but much more playable!

How does this compare to the Arduboy? Is this Arduboy-compatible?

Good question. Both have the Arduino but they are not compatible, not that I know of. I would guess the python games could be ported to the Arduboy but never the other way around.

Arduboy has a 128x64 screen and wireless connection Thumby has a 72x40 screen and doesn't have wireless connection

No, it’s way to simple. There may be ports of some actual games but they won’t be anything close (just too small)

Calling it Doom is a disgrace. They would've earned more respect if they called it a Wolfenstein 3D clone instead because it's a lot more like Wolfenstein 3D than it is Doom.
